Grace laughed, as she felt she was doing alright, even if her defensive spell hadn't worked that time. She sent a spell at Gerald, and hoped that she might win with that one. She loved duelling.
Gerald cast an offensive spell (score: 2), but Grace's defensive spell (score: 6) overpowers it. Gerald - free-rp the outcome of your choice. Grace wins the round and the match.

Watching Grace and Gerald duel, Ruby felt comfortable and content. All of yesterday's sadness had floated away and had been replaced with feelings of cheerfulness and high spirits.
Rubes felt fortunate to have met them and believed the chances of them all remaining good friends after finishing at Hogwarts was highly promising. Of course, graduation was a long way off and there was always a possibility that things could change. She hoped they wouldn't.

"All good, Gerald." That cobweb spell was really cool. She was glad she'd had a chance to cast it. "Should we keep duelling?" she asked the group. She was antsy to get the rest of the ingredients she, and Gerald, would need to get that Polyjuice potion from the older boy, especially the honey.

Ryan applauded for everyone. They were doing really well, and he was having a lot of fun. It was an exciting way to spend the morning, especially when his usual nerves for being in larger groups hadn't happened yet. It wasn't the same kind of group setting that normally made him anxious, as they were training and working together to get better at magic.
'How about Gerald and Ruby next?' Ryan suggested. He was eager to keep it going, but he knew it could only last so long. It might get repetitive soon, and they'd surely become worn out if they kept it up all the way until lunch. He was fine with staying a bit longer though, to make the most of it all. Maybe they could even schedule some duelling mornings/afternoons like this now and again?
[OOC: Since Gerald only has to win one more to get the ingredient he needs for a quest task, I say we prioritise that for now. So if he loses against Ruby, he can duel Grace again, and keep repeating until he gets it? If everyone's okay with that? Then once he has it, I'd love to duel Ruby again if that's okay?]
Rubes was more than happy to carry on with the duelling session, mostly because it was entertaining and it meant that she wasn't feeling lonely and isolated.
Rubes found herself sitting on her butt in the middle of the room again. She frowned and shot a spell in Gerald's direction. He'd already beaten her once and she wasn't intending on letting him get another win.
