Having left the basements, Lindsey realized that battling with the whomping willow was just not in the cards for her. It was pointless, so to put herself in danger at this point in time. She could do that another day. For now, she was going to find Lucas. She had seen him a few times in or around the entrance hall, so she began her search there. Next place she would look would be the corridors or the common room.
She had most the ingredients, maybe she could offer those to him as well. But, at the moment, she just needed that potion.

Having left Transfiguration class, Lucas strolled through the castle with his hands tucked into the pockets of his pants. He took the shortest path back to his common room, dumping off his school-related things off in his dormitory. And taking a moment to fix his hair in the bathroom mirror, of course.
Then he found himself in the Entrance Hall, taking it in to determine if it was worth him setting up shop for the remainder of the afternoon -- or if, for once, he could perhaps do something he actually wanted to do and that served no one but himself. It was supposed to be his free time, and there weren't many days of those left, yet he spotted a student in need.
Someone he was familiar with, at least. And Lucas had gotten really good at spotting those who sought something, or were looking for him, even from a distance.
'Looking for someone?' he asked casually over Lindsey's shoulder, having somewhat snuck up on her. His hands were back in his pockets, showing off his casual mood this afternoon.
He was sure she was looking for him, but left his question open-ended just in case he was wrong. Lucas made a habit to try not to be wrong in public, as it was just plain embarrassing. A part of him wouldn't mind being wrong today though, as it gave him the excuse to avoid dealings for one afternoon.

Lindsey nearly jumped out of her skin when he poped up behind her, but smiled and gave off a small laughter with her hand over her heart.
"Aye, you actually," she said calmly before she opened her bag. "I've been collectin' wee ingredients for the invisibility potion... but, I haven't the time to make it meself," Lindsey exmyself, before she looked at him.
"I was hopin' to trade ye some of these and some galleons for the potion," she said to him confidently. She was sure she could brew it herself... but she hadn't the time.

Lucas was intrigued by the offer, and that actually helped him out a lot even if it earned him less Galleons for it. He checked his inventory, just to make sure, even though Lucas knew he had plenty of those potions to give out.
'Let's see...' He read over his notes. '45 Galleons for one. Or, as you never know when you might need another, I could give you two for 78 Galleons.'
He gave Lindsey a smirk, as if he knew something she didn't while he awaited her consideration. He didn't give out discounts often. Almost never, really. Yes, there was a definite smugness about is look -- in offering her a special two-vial deal. Lucas prided himself in knowing as much as he could, and even that itself had a price.
Though he didn't give Lindsey much to go by, other than his personal recommendation, it was clear there was something behind it.
'But, providing some ingredients yourself...' Lucas went over the recipe itself, having gotten himself a copy of the info from Amara when she'd first obtained her Potions Kit years ago. 'All right, I can do that. Which ingredients are you offering, and what quantities?'
He waited the details, and expected her to show him the ingredients as confirmation. Lucas would only accept quality ones too, but he knew enough about Lindsey's Herbology interest to doubt they'd be any less than perfect even if traded rather than used herself.

She never knew when she would need another and thought about it. Yes, two might come in quite handy in the future. She held up two fingers for the two potion deal and continued to listen as he spoke. She knew enough about him, deals were his thing... discounts not so much. It was a long shot, but when he asked to see the ingredients, she pulled out the ones she had collected for the potion in question.
"These are the ones I had on me for the potion itself... of course, I dinna get Duskcap, Lariwart, or Windroot..." The rest were there though for the potion. She was careful as she pulled each out, naming them as she did. "I've got Fluxygrass, Red-Spider Eggs, Frogspawn, Tarrow, and Nettles," she said as she pulled them each out.
"I've got two fluxygrass, I'd be willin' to part wi' both if ye want 'em... As well as two Tarrow... I've got four frogspawn, but I dinna wish to part wi' all, so I'd be willin' to part wi' two... I've only got one each of the spider eggs and the wee nettles," she explained as she looked at each. Before him were two fluxygrass, two tarrow, two frogspawn, one red-spider eggs and one nettles. She had done well to check them over before collecting. But, it would be his choice what he wanted them all or just one of everything.
"I have more in me trunk, but I might have to bring ye those this evenin' if yere interested to see em," she said after she had brought out the ones needed for the invisibility potion that she had.

Lucas exhaled a bracing breath. Okay, this required some careful planning and cross-referencing of his notes. He sat on a stone bench, and compared everything based on what she offered and what was left.
'Two Fluxygrass, one red spider eggs, two frogspawn, two tarrow, and one nettles...' he muttered aloud, for her confirmation as well as his own. He did several more calculations, then nodded. 'All right. Two invisibility potions for the discounted price of 53 Galleons.'
He tucked away his notes, then stood to give Lindsey an awaiting look.
'That's my final offer. 53 Galleons and those ingredients,' Lucas repeated firmly. 'Do we have a deal?'

It was getting close to dinner, so Lucas tried to hurry things up -- without being any less thorough than usual. He accepted the ingredients first, tucking them away in his special section for exactly that sort of thing. Then he counted every Galleon, twice. He hated giving discounts, but Lindsey had made the task easier on him by returning some of the resources used. He couldn't complain too much.
'Just to be clear: don't drink these,' he cautioned, in case she didn't know. 'An Invisibility Potion turns a liquid-retaining material invisible, not you personally. It should last all day or night. I'd recommend using a cloak or blanket for best results.'
Nodding, he handed over the potions. 'I'm not liable if you drink it,' Lucas added. Didn't hurt to cover his bases as always, just in case. 'Good luck.'
He didn't know why she'd need good fortune for whatever came next, but it felt like the right thing to say. Lucas gathered his bag and slung it over his shoulder. Giving the area a glance, he then turned and headed up the stairs on the path to the Great Hall.
