It was nice to talk to someone who had been just as disappointed as him and Toby about Flying getting canceled out of the blue and he appreciated Emjy‘s reasoning towards the weather, eventhough he was not sure that was the only one.
He gazed outside the window towards the Quidditch pitch that was still in shambles, his heart feeling heavy at the sight.
“Mh!“, he set down his glass of milk and wiped away at his lips when Emjy followed up with a question.
“I‘ve dueled Saoirse in the morning - she won, it was amazing - and then I wanted to help out in the greenhouse but Sprout wasn’t there so I just went back and hung out in the dorm.“
He shrugged. Ryan was rather turning into a mad man over studying these days, it was making Joe anxious to watch. He had even begrudgingly opened his potions book and gone through the basics yesterday.
“What have you been up to?“, he asked. “I don’t think I‘ve seen you in the Common Room at all in a while.“
His thoughts were still revolving around Ryan and Joe grabbed another piece of toast and put some jelly on it before tooping it with another piece of toast. He then laid it aside so that he could take it with him in case Ryan didn’t show up for breakfast.
They had Herbology in the morning, so Joe figured it was better for his friend not to have an empty stomach should they get a physical task today.
Charlotte had awoken with a refreshed feeling. Maybe it was the interview with Rivera that had helped her sleep well. The professor was always so kind and Charlotte really admired her. As she walked the halls from the Tower to the Great Hall, she allowed herself to gaze out some of the windows. It looked to be a pretty day... Maybe she would be able to walk the ground and collect things?
When she entered the Great Hall, she ducked her head to above unwanted attention and then headed to the Ravenclaw table, happy to see MJ already there and sitting with Jonathan King. Charlotte took her place beside MJ and smiled at her as she gathered her breakfast, including an apple and nuts.
"Good Morning, MJ," she said calmly before looking at Jonathan. "Good Morning, Jonathan," she said with a smile as she put some porridge in her bowl and took her goblet to enjoy some juice. "I am quite interested to see what Professor Sprout has planned today..." She said with a smile as she sat with her ankles crossed under the table.
Charlotte listened to Jonathan speak about dueling another student and Charlotte swallowed her food silently. It sounded scary to duel someone, but she understood that it was a skill witches and wizards learned. Maybe she should ask someone from another house to Duel?

Arthur was a little disappointed by the lack of Quidditch game, honestly, but that disappointment was pretty much erased by the fact that his Transfiguration lesson was cancelled. Not that he had anything against Professor McGonagall, but it was a difficult subject, and one he really didn't want to deal with. Now, he had to focus a little bit on studying.
He'd heard the gossip around Reena and one of the Gryffindors, but since he wasn't particularly close with Reena or either a Gryffindor or Slytherin, he thought that it was really none of his business. Arthur was just glad that there was no silly rivalry between Hufflepuff and any of the other houses. He would hate to have to be annoyed with people just because of what house they were in.
Arthur placed some toast and fruit onto his plate and munched quietly on the toast.

Grace was excited to discover that there would be a flying lesson that day. It would probably be tons of fun, and she wanted to be fueled and ready to go, so naturally she piled her plate with a variety of different foods from a variety of different groups. In the back of her mind, she knew exams were coming up, but as a first year she had no idea what to expect, and thus hadn't started to study.
With a busy day ahead, Grace was already planning how she could best spend her time, though the words of older students worrying about exams made her a little nervous. But since she was just a first year, she thought she probably didn't have to worry about that anyways. It wasn't like she was an OWL student, after all.

Elizabeth found that when she arrived at her house table, most of the focus seemed to be on Ashworth. That made sense, she supposed, but as a Doren, Elizabeth believed that she was above all the drama. If she'd been in that situation, she doubted she would have let herself be punched, though she had been brushing up on her DADA skills recently.
Elizabeth had thought Twiggs was alright, though a bit boisterous for her tastes. Natural for a Gryffindor, but hardly the type of person Elizabeth would choose to hang around. As it was, she kept her attention mostly on her own breakfast. It wasn't very polite to eavesdrop on others, but all the same Elizabeth tried to listen in to anything that could be up to her.
As she was thinking about that, she overheard some people whispering about Professor Rickard. Ministry officials? She was reminded of her trip to Hogsmeade, when she'd been questioned. Where they here for her? Elizabeth decided one of her tasks for the day would be to try to write to her parents. There was no sense of urgency, though, but perhaps they would like to know about the Ministry being in her school.

"Oh! Duelling is a lot of fun! I did some with Alice and Orla so far~" She hoped she would get a chance to try some more duelling. Maybe she would consider entering the tournament next year if it was hosted again.
"I interviewed Professor Rivera for the contest." MJ nodded, since it wasn't a lie but it also meant she didn't have to explain the other things she had done either.
Luckily Charlotte arrived then and her attention shifted to her room-mate, "Good morning Charlotte, did you sleep well?"
Now the weather had calmed down, their dormitory didn't feel like it was being battered by rain and wind. It had made it hard for even MJ to sleep at night and so, she had worried a bit about Charlotte too.
"I'm excited for Herbology. Hopefully we will learn about a new plant..." A practical class would definitely be more fun than a theoretical one.
MJ ate her porridge, smiling at both her classmates and letting them carry the conversation for a moment while she finished her breakfast. She was eager to see the Daily Prophet when it arrived as well.

Glancing away from whatever was going on with Blackwood and some Gryffindors, which resolved itself and thus lost her interest, Amara finished up her breakfast in anticipation for another busy day. She also awaited the Daily Prophet, but didn't have too high expectations.
Kassia talked to Reena, even leaning in -- which was a move she knew all too well. Amara couldn't make out much of it, but the visual tone was clear. Slytherins did not cause a scene in public; it was like an unspoken, and often reminded, rule. But Amara knew a Slytherin move when she saw one.
She was immediately displeased Reena hadn't left her seat the second Amara offered a place with her. This was the sort of nonsense Amara needed to back her up with, as one side effect of yesterday's plan was the added attention towards Reena -- and some of it came from a bunch of idiots who deemed her at fault for anything. As far as they knew, she was the victim here.
When Jaxen finished fussing, which fondly reminded Amara somewhat of herself and little Kaia, Reena wisely came over to join her and Lucas.
'The fact she's friends with Twiggs at all shows questionable taste and cognitive ability,' she said, eyeing Kassia despite the interesting moment of Twiggs dismissal during DADA. 'What did she say? You don't owe her any sort of explanation. In fact, given how chummy she usually is with Twiggs, I wouldn't risk it. Certainly not alone, at least. She can't be trusted.'
Amara sighed. 'You're a part of my group now, Reena. People like them...'
She subtly indicated to Lindsey, most of all.
'Some simply aren't worth your time,' she said, pausing to sip some juice. 'And if people don't believe you, that's their business. Convincing them just makes you look desperate for their approval, and you don't need it. Especially not from those who aren't on our level.'
Amara made a point of including Reena in that, gesturing to herself and Lucas as well. She was one of them now; her prelude to making it official.
'You handled things very well yesterday,' Amara said, proudly. 'You've earned my trust and respect, but that's a fragile thing if you're associating with people like Bryce and Sanez. They can't be trusted with our business. And besides, do you really want a friendship you can't be honest in? Lying, hiding things, simply because she won't understand?'
She shook her head, glancing down at her timetable for a refresher of what lessons she had today. Nothing too exciting, but at least they didn't involve Professor Hathmore. Though McGonagall might be a bit annoying, given yesterday's events.
'Reena.' Amara reached across the table, nudging her hand as a unifying act. 'We have your back, okay? If anyone gets too nosy or causes problems, we'll help you handle it. It's time to show people your strength. You're a part of something bigger now, and it's going to take you so far that none of this will matter soon.'
She gave Reena a moment to think about it, before leading into the main part of their conversation. She'd been looking forward to this morning for that very reason. She was eager to see Reena's reaction -- and if she'll take it to heart.
'Look, I get it. Bryce has been a friend or whatever,' Amara added first, shrugging. 'I'll let you in on a secret. The first four years at Hogwarts? They're for fun, making friends, and finding your place. But that ends soon. This year's almost over. Enjoy it, but don't hold yourself back anymore.'
She shuddered. 'OWL year is brutal. You need to focus on your future. You can't have people holding you back anymore,' Amara said, tone firm. 'She wasn't chosen; you were. You're the one who has a true potential for greatness. We can help you.'
Almost there.
'People like Bryce, yeah they're your friend... to a point. Then you do something they don't agree with. Something not completely in the light or suiting their moral standards. They may turn on you,' Amara said, frowning as she had seen it happen before. 'We won't. Your future's important. We support you however you wish to approach it. I don't care if you follow the rules or break them; I can about results.'
Amara smiled. Thin and rarely used, but genuine.
'Think about this over the summer, yeah? Or better yet, today. Associating with Bryce, or anyone who may judge you or hold you back... there's a choice to be made here,' she said. 'And if you're ready to make it. If you truly care about your future and achieving your own ambitious -- yours, not what others expect of you, well...'
She reached into her pocket, retrieving a slip of parchment. Written on it was "Seabrook Manor ~ Hendrae Moore". She slid it across the table to Reena.
'Consider this an official invitation to visit my home this summer,' Amara said, with full welcome. 'A special dinner, of which I'll get into the details of later. Somewhere less public, you understand. Only those in my inner circle -- the most trusted, and willing to achieve their ends, are given this opportunity.'
Amara nodded, though hoped Reena understood what a huge and rare opportunity this was.
'Don't worry, I'll arrange everything.' Amara leaned back, plucking a grape to eat it 'Lucas will get you there, off the train. You'll need this parchment to find it or gain access. We'll have fancy dinner, all our inner circle, then you'll get home safely. Lucas, myself, Nyx Nordstrom, and Victoria Vargas will all be there. You understand, don't you, the kind of elite group you're now a part of?'
She gave Reena a pointed look, glancing at Lindsey and a few others again. The message was clear.
'Anyway, if you have any troubles or things that aren't working in your favor -- let me know,' Amara switched the tone of their conversation to casual. 'Anything, really. Now's the time to think about who and what truly matters to you, so how can I help?'
There was a screech overhead, before hundreds of owl swooped into the Great Hall to deliver the Daily Prophet -- as well as any letters or packages from home.
Students, and even a few staff, clamored for their issue of the newspaper. Today was the day that a student had the incredible opportunity to have their own article published on the front page, as part of winning the Daily Prophet's Youth Reporter contest issued in March. Professor Rivera was beaming as she read it, and blushed at some praise given by Hathmore or McGonagall.
Congratulations to this year's winner of the Daily Prophet contest! Your article is on the front page of today's issue, and anyone with a subscription (including family members etc) would likely have read it by now. Rewards have been added.
Thank you everyone who entered! We look forward to doing this again next RPG year. A copy of your entry, winner or otherwise, will be added to your character's Career File.
On behalf of the Daily Prophet, I would like to thank you for participating in our Youth Reporter contest. We hope this has been an enjoyable and educational experience for you.
While your submission wasn't chosen for today's front page, we appreciate your efforts and a willingness to seek the truth. Your entry was quite worth the read, and contained many quotes we wished to have used. The headline was also on the level of something the Daily Prophet would have picked.
However, the article read more as a Q&A than a story, which was where you were primarily marked down for. Your work shows promise though, and we hope you'll be interested in applying again next year.

Good morning. We hope this finds you well.
On behalf of the Daily Prophet, I would like to thank you for participating in our Youth Reporter contest. We hope this has been an enjoyable and educational experience for you.
While your submission wasn't chosen for today's front page, we appreciate your efforts and a willingness to seek the truth. Your entry was good, and noted some interesting quotes. The headline was a bit confusing, but the article overall showed you'd put the work in.
However, the article did have a bit of a Q&A feel to it, and contained small details that were perhaps irrelevant to readers, such as the location of the interview -- these of which you were primarily marked down for. Your work shows a dedication to task, and we encourage you to apply again next year.

Good morning. We hope this finds you well.
On behalf of the Daily Prophet, I would like to thank you for participating in our Youth Reporter contest -- and to congratulate you on being this year's winner! By the time you read this, your article has already been seen by thousands of magical folk. You should be proud, as it was a job well done.
Your submission fairly represented the kind of quality the Daily Prophet strives for, as you told an interesting and information story that was captivating enough to warrant being chosen for today's issue. While your entry won over the other submissions, we do wish you'd used more quotes from your focal source -- and perhaps a more enticing headline, though the one given was good enough that we used it.
Your have demonstrated yourself as a promising young reporter. If you wished to pursue a career with the Daily Prophet someday, we would gladly interview you. We also hope you'll apply for the contest again next year. In the meantime, we were so impressed with your work that we'd like to offer you an opportunity to network with others in the business and our Ministry associates. They are also keen to meet our contest winner.
If this is something that interests you, please write back at your nearest convenience. It would occur during a public event held over the summer (details of which we cannot share at this time), which we'll provide you entrance and quality seats -- with the permission of your parent / guardian, of course. Please confirm with them first.
We hope you'll be interested in attending, but there are no hard feelings if not. The Daily Prophet wishes you all the best with your future endeavours.

It was wonderful to hear from you, and I'm glad you're all doing okay. Especially with the news about the Quidditch Pitch. The Daily Prophet didn't give too many details, but I asked a friend to check with their sources and it sounds quite troubling. I'm just glad no one was hurt.
Studying for exams is always a trying time. I remember it well, and I hope Jaxen is coping with his OWL prep. Do check on him for me, won't you? But I am happy to hear your friends are helping you, as that's a valuable thing to have. Believe me, I've been reminded of such this year as well.
And yes, the few close friends I still have... you would have met them, though it was quite some time ago. Lula Sallow has been a true saviour in helping get our garden in order. Herbology is not an area I share any degree of fondness or talent for. Who knows what sort of a state it would be in if I tackled it myself, even with our third set of hands.
But the garden is coming along nicely. We've had a few crops so far, but the berries and fruit are thriving. Vegetables have been a bit hit and miss, but hopefully improving. We had a few pests to deal with, but Lula took preventive measures with that as well.
Reena, my precious daughter, please don't feel bad for the distance between writing to me. Merlin knows I haven't been the best at responding, though I am trying to make up for that now the best I can. A girl's day out sounds wonderful, and while yes your Grandfather has some big plans for you kids over the summer... we will find the time. We've missed so much time already.
It's hard to believe the school year is nearly over, though each day without you kids still feels like an eternity. Focus hard on your exams, as before you know it they'll be over and done with -- then you can just enjoy the end of your 4th year. The summer is set to be quite a busy one, so rest up when you can.
You're growing up so fast, all of you. I don't want a miss a single memory of it, as those are moments we can't ever get back. If you'll let me, I'm hoping to give you a big hug when you come home -- my soon-to-be-OWL-student. You have a bright future ahead of you, sweetheart. If he's here with us or not, know that your father is immeasurably proud of you.
I miss you, my little Fox. Hope to see you soon.
P.SThe strawberries are for Ezra. I promised to send some from our new garden, with my next letter. Could you please deliver them to him? You may have some as well, of course.
From: Mummy
The long and coherent letter came with a hint of a vaguely familiar scene -- a herb, of some sort.
It was delivered by a small owl, who was absurdly fluffy, like a round ball of soft and ashen feathers. She politely perched on her goblet -- talon held out, even when the letter was collected. She didn't seem to know what to do with herself, so just stared at Reena intently as if awaiting her approval curiously. She hooted in a proud way, as if her task of delivering this letter was of utmost importance.
She'd also delivered a small basket, with a cloth firmly tucked over it to secure the contents and keep them fresh. It was a miracle the owl had managed it, given the basket was about the same size as her. Inside were bright red strawberries, filling the air with a fresh scent of being perfectly ripe and just picked.

MJ was surprised to have an owl drop, not just a paper, but also a letter at her place.
She read the letter first, shoulders drooping a little when she realized it was essentially a rejection letter from her contest entry. Oh well, it was only something she had entered on a whim and it wasn't like she wanted to be a journalist.
So she wasn't entirely bothered by it. It was slightly disappointing to lose but she would survive.
Then her attention went to the Daily Prophet. So Kassia Saenz had been the winning writer? MJ had no idea who that was, frowning as she tried to recall if she had heard that name before.
Looking around the Ravenclaw table, she didn't see anyone being congratulated so she could only assume they belonged to one of the three other houses. She read through the interview, nodding as she recognized a few things Professor Rivera had said to herself.
She noted that the Hogwarts Quidditch pitch was still being investigated, as her gaze went to the bottom of the front page and something called 'Dementors' were spotted? MJ wondered if they were some kind of dangerous creature...
But she skipped over them to check the World Cup line-up. After checking it, she smiled to herself and wonder what it would be like to attend such an event. Seeing the world cup would definitely be a cool thing to do some day.
Time to add it to the bucket list.
Goblins she knew from History of Magic class and she hoped things would be settled for them soon. MJ put the paper into her satchel and smiled at Joe and Charlotte, "I'm going to head off to class. See you both there~"
But Charlotte and Joe were welcome to walk with MJ to class if they wanted to.

"I think she's insulted me but I can't say for sure," Reena responded, her brows furrowed. She was feeling uncomfortable about the brief interaction with Kassia. She was glad to hear Amara back her up, eventhough she did not completely agree with it. Twiggs was mostly rude, but she had been nice to her that one time last year. Not enough to gain her loayalty however, clearly.
Reena nodded, making a mental note not to get caught alone by Kassia without Amara or Lucas nearby to back her up. She would even take Vargas and her snide remarks over facing the coldness, she had seen on Kassia's face, alone.
She followed Amara's gaze towards Kassia and Lindsey, trying to keep a neutral face and listen before she jumped to any conclusions.
As Amara continued, it became apparent that she had not misunderstood.
Reena had felt her lips twitch into a smile of relief and warmth over the praise about how she had handled things yesterday. It was as though a big burden had been lifted from her and she felt an eagerness to continue on this high note and get to work to impress.
But she could not simply enjoy this warm feeling of praise, because nothing ever was simple.
Her mind stubbornly reminded her of Lindsey's words from yesterday, eventhough she knew Amara was right. She and Lindsey were not carved from the same cloth and while yesterday Reena had felt as though it was her who was unworthy, perhaps there was worth in her way as well. Perhaps they would have to part ways soon before they tainted their friendship with further lies and deception.
That thought hurt and Reena looked down on her and Amara's hands to avoid having her face betray her feelings. She looked back up in time to see a genuine smile on Amara's face. Perhaps they did genuinely care for her too. She knew she cared for Lucas at least, friendship was sure to grow where there was an alliance, right?
"Lindsey's been a good friend for years, please understand that this is not easily done in a day."
Reena knew she was biding time at this point. She was not even sure what she was waiting for. To see if this could work out after all? She was certain Lindsey wouldn't like her all that much if she knew what was going on inside her head most of the time.
Reena gladly accepted the slip of parchment as it meant she could put off having to think - and feel - about Lindsey. Her eyes widened as she read over it and she felt a surge of excitement, despite herself as Amara explained.
She tried to exchange a glance with Lucas and a smile found its way onto her face at the prospect of having a dinner at Seabrook Manor with the complete inner circle - which she apparently was now a part of. As it was a little daunting to her still, she was very happy that Lucas would accompany her there, she felt most comfortable around him.
Reena nodded in understanding.
She was part of this group. Things that mattered today might not matter tomorrow.
"Oh," Reena's brows furrowed once more in surprise over Amara's question. She glanced back at Kassia, still feeling a sort of dread over their earlier interaction. "I'm not sure-"
Her train of thought was interupted by the screeches of owls and she was secretly glad when the first owl delivered the Daily Prophets to her table. She then spotted the small, ridicilously fluffy owl swoop down towards her with a basket the same size as her, which she delivered to her as well as a letter.
Reena stared at the talon that the owl still held out after she had retrieved the letter, not sure what the owl still wanted from her.
"Umm... good job?", Reena told the owl and offered a finger for the talon to shake. This owl was kind of cute but also kind of embarassing in front of Amara.
Reena curiously lifted the cloth that was tucked over the contents of the basket and the sweet smell of fresh strawberries wafted towards her. She quickly tucked the cloth back into place, opened the letter and skimmed towards the end.
"Ah. They're for my youngest brother, sorry." Reena said apologetically to Amara, and mostly Lucas, whom she would have gladly shared a strawberry with.
She folded the letter back into its envelope and picked up the slip of parchment, making a show of tucking it away safely into her personal notebook.
"We'll talk details later," she said firmly, yet friendly. "I've got a free morning and don't want to keep you late for class."
With that she stood up and put on her backpack before she picked up the small basket and the letter into one hand. She pulled her sleeve over the other as protection from the owl's talon as she offered her a ride on her hand towards the Ravenclaw table before she said her good byes to Amara and Lucas.
Reena then made her way across the Great Hall, looking for Ezra. She picked up her pace significantly as she passed the Gryffindor table and swerved towards Jaxen when she spotted him first.
"Strawberries for Ezra but we can share," she explained.
Reena placed the basket next to his plate and then opened the letter to read through it and see if it was okay to be shared with him.
She decided that yes, it was and offered him the letter to read while she cast nervous glances towards the Gryffindor table that was uncomfortably close to the Ravenclaw one.

“Oh, you‘ve entered the contest?“, Joe asked. He was pretty sure his excitement for Emjy perfectly masked the fact that he had been completely unaware of it and this was the first he was hearing about it.
Perhaps his da was right and he should pay more attention to the news in order to know what was going on outside of school - and apparently inside of school as well.
“Mornin‘,“ he said when Lottie - Charlotte - joined them. He cringed at the use of the name Jonathan, but did not feel like picking the same fight with her again today. It was his name after all, even if he did not identify with it much.
“Ohh, here it comes!“, this had to be the first time he was ever excited about the newspaper.
He untangled it from the owl, offered it some bacon and then started reading. For a second he thought this might be Emjy‘s text but then he found the author‘s name above the moving picture of his head of house.
“Rivera looks good on the title page,“ he decided.
“Sorry yours didn’t get picked,“ he said with a shrug.
Who even was Kassia Saenz? Never heard of them.
Having lost interest in the contest, he flipped towards the investigation about their Quidditch pitch before flipping further towards the lign ups of the World Cup.
“Ahh, wait up!“, he said when Emjy announced she was heading to class.
She must’ve not heard him however and he took a few more minutes to wrap the jam-sandwich he had prepared for Ryan in a napkin.
He then flung his backpack over his shoulder and walked after Emjy, casting hopeful glances towards the Gryffindor table for Toby’s red hair.
The little owl gripped Reena's finger, believing it to hold some significance without really knowing what the gesture meant. She then hooted curiously as Reena offered her arm. The owl, despite having wings, decided to dutifully walk the journey and across Reena's arm -- continuing onto her shoulder, as she headed over to the Ravenclaw table.
The owl ruffled her ashen feathers enthusiastically when spotted another Ashworth. It was clearly familiar with each of them, and rather fond as well.
Orla had awoken in a bad mood, which was souring further as she sat at the Slytherin table.
She had one knee pulled up to her chest and tucked beneath her chin; she tore at a bread roll with her fingers, listlessly chewing little bits of it.
No appetite meant that something was wrong - her Ma would often be dramatic about Orla dying if she turned her nose at a meal, but it wasn't far from the truth.
Orla felt awful - she was homesick, and probably lonely, though she wasn't entirely sure. She'd never been alone, not really; there was always an Aunt within her orbit, fussing over her poorly darned socks or shoving a slice of toasted soda under her nose.
Orla sighed and turned to look down the length of the table, propping her cheek on her knee. Owls swooped in, which she always loved to watch, and dropped letters and Daily Prophets.
Their arrival didn't break the tension that had settled over the Slytherins, a foul mood of sly glances and smirks lingering despite the feathered messengers.
Orla watched her housemates closely, and listened, some part of her being nosy, but mostly she wanted to know who to avoid today just in case the tension was directed at an annoying first year, the easy targets of teenage ire.
After a few moments, Orla shifted and grabbed another roll, stuffing it in her pocket.
She considered taking the Prophet with her as she usually did, but a quick glance at the headlines made her head buzz unpleasantly with too much information, and she left it there on the table.
Orla slunk from her seat and hurried from the hall, eager to find some cheer during Herbology.

A new day had dawned and Ezra was still confused over why anyone would hit Reena.
It didn't make sense to him. Was Hogwarts just like that? People attacked random people in bathrooms? He did not like the sound of that, not at all.
The whole thing had been flying through his head since he found out, leading to a terrible nights sleep and a very rumpled first year at breakfast. An unusually quiet one too.
He had sat himself at a random spot at the table, led that way by his nose. And as he ate, he could not help but shoot unsure looks at the people and tables around him. Were any of them going to start randomly hitting people? Since apparently that was what happened at Hogwarts.
As the owl post arrived and breakfast ended, Ezra knew that he should head to class soon. Instead he looked around the hall as it cleared out a bit and spotted two of his siblings together. He knew he was not supposed to bother Jaxen much, an instruction that he very much struggled with, but Reena was there too!
Ezra hastily got up from the table, nearly tripped over the bench in his rush, and skidded down the hall to them.
"Ree! Are you okay?" he asked, looking up at her with big worried eyes.
Charlotte nodded to Jonathan when he greeted her, but ate her food in silence. They were having a conversation, she did not wish to interrupt. After a few minutes, the familiar sound of owls arrived and she perked up. She took a copy in excitement, but her face dropped when it wasn't her own...
Not long after, a letter landed for her and she took it, reading over it carefully. Well, she could try again next year, right? She was, after all, a first year.
Gathering her things, she followed after MJ, catching up with her. She waved to Ezra on the way out, though it was small and likely unnoticed.
