Grace liked that they were pretty evenly matched. It meant that things were never boring, and that she actually could get better at things. She liked casting actual spells, but she also liked being able to defend herself. When it was back and forth, she didn't know what she would have to do, which made her actually pretty cheerful.
"Nuh-uh!" she said, laughing, "Clearly, I'm the better duellist." she stuck her tongue out jokingly as she cast a spell at Gerald.

Grace laughed at Gerald, only to be hit with his spell. She made a soft sound, but she still felt mostly okay. "Guess that determination is pretty strong." This next spell was going to have to count, she thought. "Here I go!" she said, casting her own spell at him.
Grace cast an offensive spell (score: 5), which overpowers Gerald's defensive spell (score: 2). After a strong fight to the finish, Grace wins the round and match!
Gerald, you may free roleplay the outcome of your choice.
Going limp, he fell to the ground but quickly stood up again. "Good job, Grace." She should be ahead of him now if he was remembering their duels together correctly.
That was a fair few Duels actually, he thought as he began to eat the treacle in his pocket. It should be nearly dinner time, but it'll be fine. "One more?"

"If you can handle getting your butt kicked again." Grace said. Still, she made sure that Gerald was finished eating his own snack before she started preparing to cast a spell. She waved her wand around dramatically before finally casting one. This sure was a lot of fun, plus she had to think of ways to get Gerald.

Grace sighed, then struggled to keep her balance when Gerald's spell hit her. She knew a few good spells she could use to make win the duel. She only had to wonder if he'd be able to counter them. It wouldn't matter too much who won or lost this one. She was only thinking that dinner might be starting soon, and they both had to go meet up with the duel kid. She cast a spell at him.
