When she was winning, in response to Gerald's 'tired yet' comment, Grace yelled, "I could do this all day!" Unfortunately, it was then that her defensive spell failed her, and Gerald's spell really got to her.
Not again! She was so close. Grace's arms twisted up in what strongly resembled a pretzel. An interesting spell. She'd put that one in her back pocket for next time. "Again!" she called out, waiting for the spell to wear off before grabbing her wand.

Oof. Grace was pushed back by Gerald's spell, but she would soon get her own turn. "Nice one!" she called out at him. She really wanted to win this duel, otherwise she'd be three losses in a row. Well, technically she was already three losses but she wouldn't tell anyone about the dummy. That would be embarrassing. She cast a spell at Gerald.

They were cutting it close, now. Grace wanted to win this duel, mostly because of her previous losses, but she knew Gerald wouldn't go easy on her. "Oh, of course I will." she said with confidence. The first step of winning, as her mother usually said. She threw another spell his way, trying to be confident in that.
Okay, this is getting close, Gerald noted as he threw another spell. There had to be a way to make himself stronger with this, but it's probably a higher year level thing.
Regardless though, he wasn't too bothered to win or lose. He won the last match, Grace should win this one, at least. It's only fair since they were evenly matched.
Gerald cast an offensive spell (score: 1), but Grace's defensive spell (score: 5) overpowers it. After much determination to win, Grace wins the round and match!

He fell back, blinking quickly as everything went a shade of purple. He couldn't get upset though. Grace had won, that was what mattered.
"One more?" They still had some time before the end of the session. The Practice would definitely be good. Besides, he still had plenty of energy. Maybe he could have something to eat afterwards, but he was fine for now.

Grace held up a finger. "One second!" she said, "I'm getting a little bit hungry." she ran over to where her bag was tucked, grabbed a treacle fudge out of the bag, and shoved it in her mouth. That should be good until dinner time. She brushed her hands against her skirt, pulled her wand out of her robes, and nodded at Gerald. "I hope you're ready! I'm going to win two in a row." she chuckled, throwing a spell at him.
