About Lucas
Lucas puts himself first. He can be manipulative and keeps out of any matters that don't directly concern him. To RP with him, you'll have to make the first move unless you've grabbed his curiosity. Despite his peers being aware of what he's like, he's also considered charming and shows pride for his own house.
Lucas can be cowardly and will do whatever it takes to avoid responsibility. If you need a lookout or guard - this is not your guy. He often spreads unflattering rumours, and puts a lot of time into scamming others out of their Galleons or trying to further his own accomplishments.
Despite his many unpleasant traits, Lucas is loyal and kind to those he's friends with. It's just not a side he shows often, in fear of getting rejected or hurt. Can't be hurt by rejection if you push everyone away, right? Lucas thinks so.
However, it creates variety to his RP situations as he's rather sociable and open to conversation. He's not particularly concerned with friend or foe labels unless you've earned them.
His house bias is fairly minimal, despite being a Slytherin and sharing several of Seabrook's ideals.
Because he's specially played by a staff member, there's an added bonus of using Lucas to obtain certain items. He can give you ingredients, track down information you need, or aide in tarnishing someone's reputation - all for a price or favor, of course. Let me know if you have anything in mind, as Lucas can likely make it happen.
Just don't ask anything where the risk may be higher than his reward.
Current Plans
Set up a betting system for Quidditch matches.
Recruit / blackmail a spy
Continue saving as much money as possible.
Family
This is not a subject Lucas talks about, ever. No one at Hogwarts knows the truth of his abandonment, believing the charming act he maintains of being just as wealthy and influential as all members of the Mardling family - as their most promising heir.
He will go to great lengths to protect his reputation and hide the truth. The only thing he can't hide is his outright refusal to leave Hogwarts for any holiday or otherwise, until he has no choice at the end of each school year.
He's an only child, who doesn't get along with anyone in his family besides his Great-Uncle Clyde.
Friendships
Lucas would like friends and is easy enough to talk to, but refuses to seek anyone out in fear of being rejected. It would be good for him to learn to put others before himself at times. The kindness and loyalty are there, just not put to much use.
He's a very private person yet nosy about everyone else. He's open to friendships with 5th and 6th years for now, though he has a list of younger students not to scam and who he may often talk to or keep eye out for.
His lack of house bias makes it easier to befriend him. He's disgusted by the idea of breaking a pureblood linage, but doesn't overall hate those of "lesser blood" - a Muggleborn's not going to get much bias from him unless their interest in him seems less than innocent.
----
Amara Seabrook ~ 6th ~ Known each other since they were kids, but only at events where they had to be on their best behaviour, dance, or be shown off to people in positions of power. Met properly in first year. They got along well enough, but now things have progressed into a them building a real friendship.
They've been dating for a year, as of the Founder's Ball in December RPG1. He enjoys learning more about her, and just being with her.
Reena Ashworth ~ 5th ~ Gets along well with her, especially during recruiting her for Amara's group. A bit playful around her, similar to one would a younger sibling if only Lucas had any idea what that was like. He's still coming into terms with the fact that they are friends.

Acquaintances
Zack Mercer (S) ~ 7th ~ known close acquaintances for several years, and have often ha dealings.

Enemies
Jacob Thatcher ~ 6th ~ History: there was an incident in first year involving dungbombs that Lucas remains sorely bitter about. He was embarrassed, and somehow ended up being blamed for it all despite Jacob's actions. The boys had a hostile confrontation about it and tension built from there.
Lucas considered Jacob an idiot and a threat to his reputation, thus would go out of his way to avoid him or pass blame to the rowdy Gryffindor. However, after a fight in their 5th year when Jacob ambushed him, Lucas held a very livid grudge.

Story Quest Deal -- Polyjuice Potions
The Polyjuice Potion is a three-part, advanced potion that requires a Potions skill level 3, Herbology and Creature skills level 2, a Gold Cauldron, and takes about two RPG days to make one. That's not always an option or ideal for members who are doing a story quest. This deal is only open for quest use, and you still have to RP asking him and finding out the exact price. Your character must have a Potions Kit.
Provide the following from the list per Polyjuice potion you need (double/triple the requirements if needing more than one). Some ingredients have a skill minimum to obtain them -- if you don't meet that minimum, you can instead pay to skip that ingredient.
18 Galleons -- covers the vial and bought ingredients
Human hair * - received for winning a duel against a student.
Fluxygrass
Duskcap
Honey -- jar needed
Plant Goo -- jar and level 1 Herbology skill needed OR pay 3 Galleons to skip
2 Humbleflies -- level 1 Creatures skill needed OR pay 2 Galleons to skip
2 Beestripe grubs -- level 1 Creatures skill needed OR pay 2 Galleons to skip
* A rewarded ingredient; given for completing a task not something your character actually RPs collecting.
Lucas and his NPC contact will take care of everything else. It's known among students that he's the person to go to if you need something, so simply seek him out and ask about a deal for how many Polyjuice Potions you need (max 3). You can obtain the ingredients beforehand or wait until he tells you to get them, though keep in mind he has classes etc to attend.
If you need a RP reason for your character to get them in advance, just say there's "a rumour" that those things were needed. The human hair ingredient isn't a RP find (check the Potions Ingredient list for info), so you're free to invent some clever way your character got it. The hair is not for an actual named/played character.
When Lucas is paid and given the listed ingredients, you'll receive the potion/s as soon as the next timeslot (morning / afternoon / night). This deal can save time, but is also cheaper than doing it yourself as you don't even have to pay for seeds etc.
This deal isn't mandatory; if you're uncomfortable spending the Galleons, you can improve your skills first or even work towards making the potion yourself - if there's enough time in the RPG year to do that (considering Polyjuice is used very early on in the quest). Though it won't be easy, it is possible to negotiate with Lucas for him to waver some Galleons, if you can convince him there's a beneficial alternative.

Lucas is available for placing bets at the start of all Quidditch match threads. He'll be wandering the stands, primarily around the Slytherin area. Bets must be made before the match begins, typically within 24 hours of the thread being made -- then the betting window is closed. All information and progress are below, for easy reference. Good luck!
Quidditch Betting Details
Anyone can place a bet, unless playing in the match. Just walk up to Lucas, give him money, and state your bet. Galleons will be removed from your account by a mod. There's a 5 Galleon fee required to participate, which isn't part of your bet.
So if you're betting 2 Galleons, you pay Lucas 7 Galleons in total. I get to keep the fee, but all other betting money and prizes are managed by RPG staff. Winners are awarded once the match ends -- no need to seek Lucas out to get it.
Pay Lucas and tell him which house you're betting to win (can't bet both). If that house wins the match, you receive double your bet; if you bet 10 Galleons, you receive 20 as your winnings. The more Galleons you bet, the higher your reward but also the higher your risk. Losing a bet earns nothing. For those who have money to spare, please note that you can't bet more than 100 Galleons per match.
You can also bet on an outcome. You must bet a house winner to do this, but simply add an outcome guess. It can be related to any player, team, or result which may occur during the match regardless of which house you bet wins. You must be specific, and Lucas needs to confirm (or negotiate an adjustment) before it's included. If you want to make a second outcome guess, it costs an additional 3 Galleons.
Examples of an outcome guess could be how many players on x team get knocked out by Bludgers, or that x team will score at least 70 points, or x team will win but the other team's seeker catches the snitch. This has a separate bonus prize. For every character who makes an outcome guess, the bonus goes up by 10 Galleons.
The prize is given to everyone who has a correct outcome guess -- the exact amount, not a shared money pool.
Betting is 100% RPG-based; no real money is involved.
Lucas keeps meticulous records; if you bet against your own house, don't assume that's kept a complete secret; he's willing to show someone his records, for a price.
Outcome Guesses Martha Twiggs -- Hufflepuff scores at least 60 points. Martha Twiggs -- Hufflepuff catches the Snitch. Martha Twiggs -- Hufflepuff saves at least 3 goals. Ryan Barrow -- Jonathan King scores at least 5 goals. Alora Sagemore -- Ravenclaw scores the first goal.
Outcome Guesses Martha Twiggs -- Jonathan King scores at least 3 goals. Martha Twiggs -- First player to get hit with a Bludger is Slytherin. Alora Sagemore -- Ravenclaw scores the first goal. Caine Hawke -- Ravenclaw catches the Snitch first.
