An active, character-driven Hogwarts experience set in the early 2000s. Unique items, plots, and features. Non-canon; this isn't Harry Potter's story, it's ours.
As if to reward them for a busy summer and a productive start to the new term, the end of October dawned with the full effect of autumn; transforming the Hogwarts grounds from vivid greens to various warm, Earthy tones. Nature's very own kind of magic.
Stray leaves blew by the windows of the lower levels of the castle, and the temperature drop was more noticeable now -- though not bothersome enough to remind them of winter's approach. Even so, especially on a cloudy morning, students bundled up in scarves and the occasional beanie -- especially those planning to leave the school later, for their first Hogsmeade Trip of the year.
The Great Hall had a few colour-coordinated decorations here or there, but nothing especially exciting yet; that would be reserved for the feast later that night.
Seated round the Head Table, Professors were rather calm and relaxed this morning. Many were bundled up more than the students, as if there was much to be done outside today; Professor Archerose even wore gloves and a thick cloak. Though Professors Snape and Traddles weren't present. Neither was Filch nor Mrs Norris, who usually lingered by the doors to the Great Hall; rarely noticed each day, yet clearly strange in their absence.
Whispers spread about a mysterious challenge Professor Rivera had set up somewhere on the grounds, for students to enjoy (and potentially be rewarded by) that afternoon. Students theorised where it might be, and some made plans to seek it out early -- not knowing a charm was in place to prevent that. Yet the thrill of exploration was enough not to deter them, even if it would wield no results.
Student schedules were magically assigned to everyone who sat at their house table, which also confirmed the name of the afternoon's optional challenge. 6th years who'd joined the Frog Choir at the start of term, or who'd signed up for Apparition Lessons, were quite upset to see they'd have to make the choice between the two; it wasn't physically possible to attend both today.
To further dampen their mood, for them in particular, it also meant having somewhere to be that morning -- rather than making the full use of a Hogsmeade Trip. But it didn't compare to the annoyance of 5th years, who had Potions class of all things that morning. 4th years weren't pleased by their Charms class either, but most who were affected by the schedule decided not to complain too much... out of pity for the 5th years.
If it was a contest of worst Hogsmeade morning plans ruined, the O.W.L students won.
Morning Classes 2nd years -- DADA 4th years -- Charms 5th years -- Potions 6th years -- Apparate Lesson (Training Grounds)
Frog Choir Practice (Empty Classroom)
Afternoon Event Treasure Dig
Night Event Hollowe'en Feast
There are Prefect duties tonight. Head to your assigned location when dinner ends.
Owl Post will arrive soon with the Daily Prophet. Morning class threads will be available for posting in once breakfast ends, and the afternoon event (takes place in the Forest Path) when time changes. If there aren't students in a particular year, that class won't occur; 1st, 3rd, and 7th year classes aren't listed on the schedule. 6th years COMC also aren't listed this RPG year, due to not enough students taking it.
6th years: the second apparition lesson is only for those who signed up and paid their entry fee in the first lesson. Though it's recommended to attend as many as possible to get your score up, and qualify for the test at the end of the school year, attendance isn't mandatory.

MJ had opted for extra layers today and even wore her scarf around her neck while sitting at the Ravenclaw table. Autumn was one of her favourite times of year but that didn't mean she had to enjoy as each day got colder.
To help warm herself up, she had a bowl of porridge and a warm cup of tea as well. She added some honey and fresh fruit to her porridge and began to eat.
Today's schedule intrigued her. She was excited to have their first DADA lesson of the year but to also take-part in the Treasure Dig. She'd have to make sure to make time for it.
Listening to some older students, she realized that despite the Hogsmeade trip, they had classes and were annoyed at that. MJ frowned since she thought having class was a good thing.
Some people just needed to realize that their education was important, it seemed.

It was morning. And morning meant breakfast. Giovi Monbeau made his way, fully dressed with robes and scarf and ready, to the Great Hall.
As a second year he got to hear all about the chitter and chatter of the older students - each one excited about their trip to Hogsmeade, something he wouldn't get to experience for a while... but it was fine. He was content to be at the school for a while.
Let the older kids get out and have their fun. He would figure out his own stuff and make the best of it.
He scanned the room for a moment before settling himself at the Slytherin table, pulling breakfast toward him and overlooking his schedule with an arched brow. Defense Against the Dark Arts? He frowned slightly. He'd been hoping it was Potions but... you won some, you lost some. Either way he'd do fine.
He hoped.
He just had to make it through breakfast and then he'd be free to go and he'd make the best of it. He pulled some apples and nuts over to himself, tucking them into his bag for later... just so he wouldn't forget when he left for class.

"Class! On a Hogsmeade day! That's mental!" Kody complained loudly at the Gryffindor table to anyone who would listen. He had been looking forward to spending the whole day with his grandpa and Verity. He continued to grumble as he added a large splat of red sauce to his plate.
"Should be illegal..." Well, at least it was Charms. He glanced at the timetable for the fifth year next to him and winced. Potions? Yikes.
Kody busied himself with dabbing his sausage into first his fried egg and then the ketchup, taking a large bite. Quidditch Practice had gone well yesterday but he couldn't help feel disappointed that they hadn't done more.
But that was probably just him being greedy and wanting to spend more time on his broom.
He glanced up every so often, between bites of his sausages, and waited to see if the Owls would arrive soon. Would Grandpa write again, or would it just be assumed their plans were still good?

Oscar entered the Great Hall slightly distracted that morning. His hand kept rising to tug his beanie into place, only to come up empty and have to settle for fiddling with his scarf instead.
He had not been able to find his hat that morning after he had decided that it was needed, and its loss was not a pleasant one. He always wore his beanie in the colder months and not being able to find it had put him slightly off balance for the start of the day.
Resigned to the fact that it might be a bad day, Oscar plopped down at the Hufflepuff table only to receive the worst news possible. He had Potions right after breakfast.
Trust that to happen. Right when he thought he was having a bad day, out popped his least favourite class to make it worse.
He was not going to cry at the breakfast table just because he had lost his beanie and had to go to Potions. He wasn’t. He was fifteen and a prefect. He could deal with it.
Oscar really wanted to go back to bed and pretend the day had not begun. Could he skip straight to tomorrow, please?
No? Uh.
A bit reluctant about giving in to the powers that be that decided he had to carry on with the day, Oscar fixed up his breakfast for the day. Yoghurt, nuts, and fruit all went in a bowl, and then some honey was drizzled on top because he deserved it.
His breakfast ready, Oscar paused before he began to eat and instead reached across the table for some extra nuts and an apple for his pocket. Only with them safely stashed did he tuck in.
Only after he had shoved his first mouthful in did he bother to look at his schedule again to check the rest of the day. He soon ended up groaning around his spoon.
Prefect rounds were that evening too, because of course they were.

Looking around the Great Hall, Martha's worried expression only deepened. She had been woken in the middle of the night by Sophia's bad dreams but she never minded something like that. She had sat up with her friend, assuring her everything was okay and she was there if Sophia needed her.
Not to mention, she had fallen asleep on top of her friend's bed! But when she woke up it was empty -- where was Sophia now? Martha had taken as much time as possible to get ready for breakfast before heading to the common room.
No sign of her friend. Martha tried not to worry (which was useless, she was a mess inside) and hoped maybe she was with Lucky somewhere? And if not, that she was at least safe...
Now she was sitting at the Hufflepuff table with more worries to deal with after looking at the schedule left for her.
Apparition or Frog Choir?
Martha knew she had lessons all year but she had also paid twelve galleons so missing even one seem ill-advised. On the other hand, she had made a commitment to the Frog Choir and she wasn't sure how many chances she would have to be a part of it.
It wasn't like she could lie and put it on her Academy application if she never took part, despite passing an audition to join.
As she debated over this, Martha pocketed an apple and some nuts for later. Just in case. It felt like it was going to be a very long day, with morning lesson (or Frog Choir, why was making the choice so hard?), Hogsmeade, the Treasure Dig, the Feast and Prefect Duty later that evening.
She was glad to see she had been paired up with Elizabeth Doren.
Being Prefect was serious but hopefully they could have time to chat as well. Martha formulated pretend conversations in her head as she contemplated which breakfast wouldn't make a reappearance if she opted for Apparition.
Martha would end up just looking over every time someone appeared, looking for a flash of colourful hair.

He. Was. Stoked!
The first trip to Hogsmeade of the year was upon them and he was gladly going to go through the morning classes and get everything done as quickly as possible! Or... that was... until he saw his schedule. Caine groaned, thumping his head dramatically on the table.
He glanced around at the others at the table, not seeing Joshua yet and frowned. He wasn't worried about him, not really, but it was awful to think that he wasn't there yet. But it was what it was.
He told the guy next to him to tell Josh he was with Amber then stood, glaringly obvious in his Hufflepuff robes and Slytherin scarf as he made his way over to the Ravenclaw table, jumping into a spot across from his friend as he eyed her.
Things had escalated since he'd met his new friend - so much so that Caine had joked with him he wasn't getting his scarf back and had surrendered his own to replace it. But it had all been in good fun... until he realized what the odd feeling was and got lost on how to deal with it.
He'd been wanting to ask someone about it but Joshua... well Caine didn't feel like it was something to bother him with.
Besides, as far as he knew, Joshua didn't have a crush on anyone! So he would ask Amber... who would probably be a little better about advice than Joshua would be.
"Good morning, Amber!" He said with a bright smile, not bothering to even acknowledge the looks he got from some passer-by. He was confusing. Hufflepuff robes, Slytherin Scarf, Ravenclaw Table. Now he just needed a Gryffindor tie to complete the chaos - but he couldn't figure out where to find one of those... no one wanted to part with one.
"I am finally ready to stop hiding from you and talk... about that thing... from like two weeks ago."
Had it really been half a month already? Ugh time flew. But he was steeled for it now! And he was ready - Potions class looming or not, he swore he'd have a good day.
He pulled an apple and some nuts over into his bag for later with a playful look around as if he'd not done it, a hint of amusement written on his features.

Ezra yawned as he made his way into the Great Hall and sat down opposite MJ. It was a new day and boy was he sleepy.
"Hi, MJ!" He said after a shake of his head in an attempt to wake up more.
It kind of worked, at least enough for him to look at his timetable and start to pay attention to what was going on around him.
DADA first and then nothing in the afternoon but he heard rumours of some kind of challenge.
Ezra was immediately intrigued. A challenge? On the grounds? He wanted to know more. He wanted to know everything.
"What do you think the challenge is?" He asked MJ as he poured himself a bowl of cereal. "Do you think it's gonna be super hard?"
He added three large spoonfuls of sugar to the top of his cereal, considered the bowl and then added two more until his bowl began to look more like an extra bowl of sugar for the table. Perfect.

Amber sat at the Ravenclaw table in a rather sparsely populated area and enjoyed some pancakes with syrup as she was going over the schedule. She groaned. Potions.
It was not that she particularly hate it as for her it was similar to cooking (don’t tell Snape!), and she liked that! But having class with Snape… irck… Was there a student who loved that? None she met so far…
Oh, but the Hogsmeade trip was also today! That upgraded the day already!
She guessed she would go around with Josh and Caine again this year. She definitely should ask them later to be on the safe side, though.
As they would be out and about and a snack would always be nice, she grabbed an apple and some nuts for later.
And the Treasure Dig was up in the afternoon? That sounded like even more fun! She grinned.
While filling up her glass with orange juice, someone familiar plopped down opposite from her. She looked up and smiled.
“Morning!” She blinked for a moment as she recognised the Slytherin scarf. How did he get that? But then she shrugged. That was Caine. Nothing more said.
Amber listened to Caine’s request and nodded. She did remember it.
“Alright, what’s bothering you so much? I’m all ears!” She gave him an encouraging smile, trying to give him the feeling that he could tell her everything, she wouldn’t judge or tell someone. Because she had absolutely no clue whatsoever. Or was it something with his parents again? Somehow she sure hoped not, Caine deserved some peace from that…
She took a sip of her juice while waiting for his answer.

Sarah hurried into the Great Hall, her Gryffindor robes billowing behind her. She could hardly contain her excitement for the day ahead. Not only was Defense Against the Dark Arts on the schedule, but she had also heard whispers of a secret event planned for the afternoon. Her heart fluttered with anticipation as she made her way toward the Gryffindor table.
She wanted to sneak off and learn more about the event, but something always disturbed her from enacting her plans.
But as Sarah glanced toward the Slytherin table, her excitement waned slightly. There, sitting with an air of arrogance, was a particularly rude boy whom she had encountered before and still didn't know the name of. His snide remarks and condescending attitude had always irked her, and she couldn't help but feel a surge of anger rise within her.
Trying to maintain her composure, Sarah resisted the urge to confront the boy directly. Instead, she made her way to the Gryffindor table, determined to let the day's positive energy outweigh the negative. Sarah was zen, as her mother always harped on. She grabbed a shiny red apple from a nearby fruit bowl and placed it in her pocket just in case she had to have a snack later.
Next, she scanned the assortment of cheeses and meats laid out before her. Her eyes twinkled with delight as she carefully selected a few slices of aged cheddar, a smear of creamy brie, and a sliver of smoky prosciutto. Placing them on her plate, she started scafing them down without much thought for propriety. People sitting next to her might have gotten some spray as collateral damage.
Sarah couldn't help but steal another glance at the rude boy across the hall. Her irritation peaked once more, and she felt like she had to so something or it wouldn't give her peace. Without thinking, she made a rather rude gesture towards him that she knew would go unnoticed by everyone except maybe those sitting closest to her.
Taking a deep breath, Sarah shifted her focus back to the Gryffindor table, determined to enjoy her breakfast and let the excitement of the day consume her once again.

"Morning Ezra~" MJ greeted her housemate (and classmate!) with a sunny smile while observing that he seemed a bit sleepy.
"Were you up late?" Or maybe he had just had a big day before? Regardless, MJ was more than happy to have company while she enjoyed her breakfast.
She contemplated the morning challenge as well, "I was wondering about it myself. I wonder if it's something older students have done before?"
If it was, none of them were revealing the secret. Which was just as well, since MJ didn't like being spoiled for fun stuff like this. "Maybe we're going to learn a new spell today!"
That alone was exciting, causing MJ to wriggle excitedly in her seat while eating her porridge. She was also thinking about how to spend her free time after class. Would she part-take in the History of Magic or Charms tasks that the teachers had posted?
Or would she look for more ingredients. There was one she needed for broom polish that wouldn't be too challenging to collect. Perhaps it would be best to grab it first and then proceed with helping the teachers with their tasks.
Yes, that seemed like the ideal plan. She wanted a chance to brew something today as well if possible.
Post by Amara Seabrook on Jun 4, 2023 16:59:46 GMT 10
Amara arrived at the Great Hall looking as if she'd been up for hours -- because in truth, she had. Uncaring for the change in season, she made her way to the Slytherin table and sat at her usual space, somewhere between the middle and the doors. She served herself a bit of fruit, not having much of an appetite as she'd kindly provided some healthy snacks earlier for her players.
She'd gone to bed soon after dinner last night. The Field Trip was tiring enough, but she had to get up when it was still dark this morning, thus needed a good night's sleep to cope. She'd dressed warmly -- and made her way to the 5th year boy's dormitory door, then the 4th year girl's dormitory door.
Knocking a few times on each, she'd firmly told Benjamin and Cynthia in turn to be out in the Common Room in fifteen minutes... or she was coming in with the Water-Making Charm. Thankfully, she was spared from having to do so with Cynthia -- who soon emerged, rather grouchy.
Benjamin wasn't as lucky, and Amara showed him no mercy for her having to enter a boys' stinky dorm in order to get him up. His dorm mates were not pleased, and most easily gave him up -- pointing to his bed where he'd fallen back asleep. Amara raised her wand, and her aim was true despite the early-morning darkness.
In his panic about the spell, and Amara being her scary self, Benjamin had donned a Hufflepuff scarf by accident (the darkness did him no favors) -- and stumbled his way in search of something to wear. It wasn't until he joined the girls in the common room that Benjamin realised his mistake, as highlighted by Amara yanking the offensive scarf off his neck and tossing it on an armchair. At least she hadn't thrown it in the fireplace.
The trio tiredly made their way down to the Training Grounds after that, supplies in hand, to have their Quidditch Training Session -- just in time to witness the sunrise.
Amara had set up some snacks, then some mats to counter the morning dew, and they got to work. It was a brutal session; they needed to be fit and prepared to do their best this Quidditch season. Amara worked out regularly, but forgot her level was not easy to jump right into if someone was less used to it. She made some adjustments, but there was no escaping that it was essentially a Boot Camp.
She worked them hard, to the point that if they weren't sweating then they were probably crying. Or both, though they also did better than she'd expected once they probably woke up and accepted their fate.
But Amara wasn't cruel about it... at least, she didn't think so? They got breaks to snack or drink pumpkin juice, and she made sure they didn't overdo it enough to hurt themselves. But neither could they slack off or not take it seriously. Then she made sure to finish a bit before breakfast, so they could all head back and shower before officially starting their day.
As such, her hair was still a bit damp when she'd arrived to Breakfast -- looking refreshed and confident. She hadn't slacked off herself; as a show of unity, and to make sure they did the drills properly, Amara had worked just as hard. She'd done all of the exercises; even running laps, which she and Benjamin did the best at.
It was clear though, especially to Slytherin house (as some were woken by Amara getting the players up early; most of all, Benjamin or Cynthia's poor dorm mates), that something had happened that morning. Amara, Benjamin, and Cynthia all had a different energy about them -- and there was no mistaking they hadn't just crawled out of bed, even with being a bit sore / tired from the training.
--
But that was done, now.
She'd showered, changed into her uniform (though felt quite warmed up from the workout training), and was ready to see what else the day would bring. She carefully eyed the schedule -- and clenched her jaw at the ridiculous lineup for 6th years. She would never humiliate herself with the lame Frog Choir, but having to decide about Apparition Lessons was annoying. She'd hoped to relax in Hogsmeade after yesterday's ordeal and this morning's workout.
At least she had the afternoon free... or whatever that Treasure Dig thing was about. "Dig" did not inspire her desire to participate. Then the feast tonight, which was always delicious and worth the effort. So many things to think about.
Amara sighed, and glanced around for some familiar faces to pass the time.
[OOC: Training Session was pre-planned at the end of their Quidditch Practice, and with staff approval. All mentions of Cynthia Rushton and @benjamin were done with their input / permission.]
Benjamin honestly didn't hear Amara's first knock and the subsequent warning she gave him. Just everything going on in his life at the moment had him so tired, it was difficult for him to get up in the mornings in general.
The traitors in his dorm didn't have his back at all, and the boy was woken up a water to the face. He stumbled up in his panic and instead of using Lumos, and inconvenience his classmates even further (Benji would argue they'd deserve it), Benjamin dressed himself in the dark.
As Benjamin stumbled out of bed and made his way to the Common Room, he could sense the annoyance of his dorm mates. Their disapproving glares directed at him were hard to ignore, and he felt a tinge of embarrassment wash over him.
Joining Amara and Cynthia in the Common Room, Benjamin realized the mistake he had made in his sleepy panic. He had accidentally grabbed a Hufflepuff scarf instead of his own, not realizing it until he met his team in the common room.
He wasn't going to lie, seeing Caine's scarf in Amara's grip instinctively made Benji want to hex her to let go of it, afraid that she'd destroy it. Luckily, she just threw it in onto an armchair. Benjamin opted for a hiss of warning to some younger boy, telling him to bring it to the 5th year dorm or else.
Benjamin hurried to catch up with Amara and Cynthia as they made their was to the Training Grounds, his heart pounding with both guilt and apprehension at what the so-called Slytherin Queen had planned.
He could feel the exhaustion weighing heavy on his limbs as they began their brutal workout. The intensity of the drills made it clear that Amara had designed a session akin to an auror camp or something. Okay, sure, the team had ot get in shape, but it was a school tournament, not the World Cup.
Benji didn't complain, because he did see the point and reason behind it. He did shed a tear or two during some particularly nasty parts where his bones and muscles couldn't bend any more, but they were mixed with a copius amount of sweat, so it wasn't as if anyone noticed.
It wasn't all bad, though, Benji drowned his tiredness in a lot of pumpkin juice and snacks, which improved his mood greatly.
When Amara gave the leave to the team to finish the practice, Benji cleaned up after himself and put away equipment before he left for the Slytherin showers.
-
Benjamin entered the Great Hall, his silver and green Slytherin robes clinging lightly to his damp skin. His muscles ached with the effort, and his wet hair drooped around his face, making him look more disheveled than usual.
With a weary sigh, Benjamin made his way toward the Slytherin table. He wasn't in the mood to talk, at least until he got some food.
Taking a seat at the Slytherin table, Benjamin made sure to leave a respectful distance between himself and Amara. He didn't have any issues with her personally, but Benji he couldn't help but feel a tinge of annoyance at having to endure the rigorous sunrise practice session. He knew it was necessary for the team's success, but it left him drained and longing for a few extra minutes of rest. Especially with how it started.
Benji's mood brightened as he spotted Caine at the Ravenclaw table. What was he doing there? Benji narrowed his eyes, aiming a small glare at Lloyd. They were friends, weren't they? Probably talking about hte Hogsmeade trip later that day.
Turning his attention back to his immediate needs, Benjamin filled his plate with toast and piled on slices of savory ham. The aroma wafting from his plate was comforting, enticing his tired senses. He also grabbed an apple and a handful of nuts, preparing for the upcoming trip to Hogsmeade.
He was rather excited about it, even if he was going with a larger group than just with Caine. He had quite a few stops to make to get some gifts for his family. And things that for himself that Benji could enjoy later.
Checking his class schedule, Benjamin's heart sank as he saw that Potions was on the agenda. He had nothing against the subject, besides Herbology, it was one of his favourites and one Benji excelled at. The Slytherin had just expected that they would have a free day, was all.
At least it was a class with Professor Snape, it could be worse, they could have another Defense against the Dark Arts course to get through.

Ezra stared wide-eyed over at MJ as he sat, slightly confused, with his spoon held forgotten in his mouth. Late? How did she know he was up late? Did MJ have superpowers that let her know how people slept?
Oh, no, wait. His mind caught up and he realised that he probably looked tired as he’d blinked around the room with his unbrushed hair.
“Mm, yeah,” he nodded as his spoon finally went back in his bowl. “Was looking at the stars and then suddenly it was really late.”
He really liked stars and the pretty twinkles that they made, it just sucked that they had to happen at night.
“I don’t know,” he shrugged. He contemplated hunting one of his siblings down, maybe Kody or Verity, to ask them, but then decided that as much as he wanted to know all about it, figuring it out himself would be more like an adventure.
Maybe he could spot a clue after class while he was doing.. Whatever he was going to be doing. What were his plans for before lunch? There were so many things that he wanted to do, it was a bit hard to decide.
“Whatever it is,” he decided, dragging his thoughts away from his morning free time and back to the mystery challenge. “I bet it’s gonna be lots of fun.”
Most things were at Hogwarts anyway.
Treasure Dig… Maybe they would be making giant holes with tunnels under the ground for… He didn’t know. Nifflers? They liked treasure. How those two things went together, he wasn’t sure though.
Ezra shook his head to clear his thoughts before they tunnelled (ha!) too far, and focused back on what MJ said.
A new spell? He hoped so! Learning new spells was always nice.
“That would be cool,” he nodded, trying to think what it could be. What spell could they learn in DADA? He tried to think back to what spells he had seen mentioned in books or talked about by other students, but was drawing a bit of a blank. “Maybe he’ll teach us the tickle spell or something.”
If they were to be learning new spells though and had a fun event in the afternoon, then he had better have snacks ready to keep him going. With that thought in mind, Ezra reached across the table for nuts and an apple to stuff in his bag.
Post by MJ Birdwhistle on Jun 4, 2023 21:38:08 GMT 10
She didn't realize Ezra was such a star-gazer! But their common room and dormitories would be a good spot to watch them so she understood why he'd stay up late, "Hopefully it doesn't make you too sleepy for Defence Against the Dark Arts this morning."
Maybe she would need to keep a close eye on him in class, just in case?
Their conversation had a lull but it was comfortable to MJ. She liked that she didn't feel forced to keep a conversation going with Ezra or many of her other classmates. They had natural silences but also could keep the conversation lowing too, if need be.
So MJ took this chance to eat some more of her porridge.
"I agree! I think it's going to be something we wouldn't think of... Professor Rivera is very good at catching us off guard with things." MJ considered, meaning it in a good way. She liked how different each class was at school, the variety made things more exciting.
Better than being sat in the same classroom with the same teacher teaching everything like she had done in Primary School. Muggle High School would have been a bit different at least but nothing beat going to a Magic School!
"A tickle spell? That sounds dangerous in the wrong hands..." Her brother used to hold her down and tickle her and MJ shuddered at the memory. While she was happy enough to hug her friends or hold hands, to sit squished together on the sofa or in a bed -- those things were fine and she was okay with sharing her personal space that way.
Tickling? No, evil, the worse, unforgivable! MJ shook her head and sipped at her tea before deciding she needed more sugar. Two spoonfuls were added and she stirred this while adding, "I should probably practice more duelling this year. Do you think there will be another tournament? I didn't enter last year..."
She regretted that slightly! It had looked like a fun experience after all and she felt a bit more confident in her abilities now.
