#24 Adventures before going Home?

Amelia walked into the room and looked about the area. The hourglasses just seemed to continue to run with sand and she found herself walking about taking it all in. As she let her fingers run across from of the balls, she found them to be just as enchanting. She looked at the plaque, reading over the words and then looking across at the stone wall. She took her time thinking about how this was going to go and took in a deep breath.

Picking up the first ball, which was a fire one, matching her hair, she tossed it in the air for her to catch, with hands skilled from Quidditch. She might not have been a chaser, but when she had tried out, she had to try out for all areas.

Pulling her arm back, she sent the ball flying through the air at the middle hole.

The sound of another orb coming out of the hole made her take a step back and she smiled when the fire orb went all the way to the wall. When it fired up, she lifted her hand to shield herself from the blast, before she smiled and picked up another orb. This time, it was the ice one and she tossed it up in her hands a few times. This was certainly fun and took her mind off the whole day of exams.

She held the orb firmly and sent it flying towards the wall again, this time slightly towards the left hole.

Amelia eyes widened when her orb was melted and she lifted her arm in defense of herself. The heat from the flaming orb was a lot, but she didn't feel any pain when it came near her. She closed her eyes and took a few steps back. The flames roared, it hurt her ears a little and when it was over, it seemed to be all done. She looked at the orbs before her again and she glanced at the wall. She had used fire and ice... Ice and Fire had come out of the holes.

There was a chance that it could be water next... But, did she want to risk it. Water would do well for Fire, but what if what came out wasn't fire? She thought about it, choosing to go with Ice once more. If it was fire again, she would lose, she understood that. But, if it wasn't fire, it would be either ice or water.

She was going to take her chance. She took the Ice orb and sent it flying at the holes again, this time towards the right one.

Amelia smiled when the orb won and then when the confetti shot from the new hole in the wall. She smiled as he landed all around her and then she looked around in the stillness and silence. It had been fun, she had won, but that was all. Nothing else was around. No glory. No recognition at all.

Maybe that wasn't the point? Maybe the point for Amelia was to just, take a moment and breathe? Yes, that is what it was and she liked the idea.

She had one more key left and just went to the next door when she left the room she had been in. She put the key in, hoping it would work.

Amelia walked in, looking at the beautiful broom before her and the bat that laid there with it. She read the plaque and looked up. She couldn't even see anything, but she had a feeling she knew what she needed to do. Taking the bat, she gave it a flip in her hand before she mounted the broom and kicked off.

As she head upwards, she quickly noticed how high the room was and a smile spread on her face as she went higher. Since the destruction of the pitch, she hadn't realized how much she missed flying and as she continued up, she raised her arms to the side and let the mild breeze from her movement spread around her.

Yes, this is where she belonged!

As she came level with the goal post, she readied herself for the first bludger to come towards her. For a moment, it was silent and then she heard something. There it was, the Bludger and she turned herself, lifting the bat in a manner that came from practice and when it came close enough, swung it and went it towards the goals, mainly the lower one.

When the high winds started, she gripped the broom with her one free hand and crossed her ankles. She was not going to allow herself to be tossed off that easily. She made sure her thighs were tight on the broom and that everything was hooked in a sense. She kept her batting hand ready, blinking her eyes to try and help with the gusty winds.

She could hear it coming, the sound of the bludger as it flew towards her. She looked and saw it, again turning slightly to better the aim and then swinging the bat to send the bludger flying. It was going towards the taller goal and she hoped it went through. The wind made her sway a little, but she wasn't going to give up anytime soon.
