#24 Breakfast

Joe was ripped out of his day dream when there was a paper thrust under his nose and he startled at Toby’s voice.

“Huh?“

He had even incorporated the owls into his day dream, as Fogaell had joined his and Toby’s Quidditch practice by showing them how to perform daring manouvers in the sky.

It took a moment for him to register what Toby wanted from him but he immediately matched his friend‘s energy when he read over the title page of the Daily Prophet.

It was also only now that he noticed he had gotten a letter from his parents, likely to wish him good luck on his exams.

“Look, they‘ve mentioned Tammy Doyle! We have got to go and watch her play!“

The nerves about exams paired with the fresh excitement over the world cup made his stomach feel very queasy and he had to excuse himself while he turned around with a hand over his mouth.

Thankfully it was only a burp and he recovered quickly from it after drinking some water.

“Do you think Northern Ireland will get the cup?“, he asked as though that was even a question.

With Tammy Doyle on the team no other team stood any chances!
Although- Joe wondered whether he was supposed to root for England since he was living there.

After only a second, he dismissed that thought. Had England even made it into the World Cup?
He didn’t really care.

“Come on, let‘s not be late,“ he said when he noticed several of their classmates leave the Great Hall.

Time to brave the exams.
