Kassia nodded at Amelia's plan to go to the savannah first. It made sense. Kassia had had to shower three times in a day with the amount of mess Hogwarts got her into. If Amelia could get her other ingredients done before going to clean herself, all the better. Besides... as much as Kassia loved her, she was horrified at the state of her friend. She needed a hose at this rate.
The sliminess on Amelia was still nothing compared to the horrors of the Forbidden Forest, though. Vile mushrooms that looked like bloody teeth growing among the gaping skeletal carcasses of long-dead animals. Logs that seemed to be moving, only for Kassia to realize that they only appeared that way due to the legions of centipedes and larvae on them.
The sunlight that finally peeked through the trees as they escaped the woods was like a beam from heaven itself. Kassia let out a breath that she didn't realize she'd been holding and looked over at Amelia. She would have definitely fled from a hug, but smiled at her nonetheless.
"Good luck, darling. See you at dinner."
Kassia looked back at the Forbidden Forest one last time before making her way to the castle.
