Lindsey had no class this afternoon, so thought she was search for Lucas, but when she realized he had his own class, she figured she might as well make herself useful and collect more items for the invisibility potion. If she had more ingredients, it might help her in the long run. As she entered the boathouse, she put her bag down near the doorway and began searching for cobwebs to find the eggs.
Luckily, Lindsey was no stranger to getting in the dark and grimy places. All she needed was enough for one ingredient.
The boathouse was silent, aside from the occasional hollow thunk when one moored boat bumped against a neighbour, and it was dark in places too. A few slants of sunlight managed to peek their way inside as Lindsey began her search.
The dark corners would be her best bet in locating any spiderwebs, old or new, once proudly strung up by a spider. A mere glance wouldn't be enough for her to discern the difference between them in this gloom.
She would need to get a closer look if she hoped to find her prize.

Lindsey was working herself around the boathouse and then took a good look at the corners. She was careful where she stood, didn't want to step too high up, but if she did, she made sure it was sturdy. She was going to find these eggs, but she was at least going to be careful about it. The boats made their own sounds, but not enough to really affect how she was working.
After searching the first and second corners, Lindsey found what she hoped for in the third.
It wasn't easy to see the cobweb at first but after a moment, she could tell it was definitely an older one - which was exactly what she needed.
And luckily, it was within her reach, holding a pink egg sac that would be full of spider eggs.
Now she just had to somehow retrieve the egg sac since the cobweb was still tough, despite its age. Lindsey would have to be careful she didn't accidentally destroy the fragile sac in the process of removing it from the web.

Lindsey smiled when she finally found it. But, it was higher up than she could reach. After searching, she found a few sturdy crates and put them where she could stand on them. After making sure they didn't wobble too much, she took a step up and carefully worked to get the pink sac off the cob web. She was trying to be careful, the web was strong, but she worked her fingers in the web to take hold of the pink sac.
It was a little difficult, but soon she was able to get her fingers around it, she gave it a firm, but gentle pull. It had to be done carefully if she wanted these eggs. She needed these eggs. Once they were in her hands, she smiled and put took a step down. What else could she find here? Blue Spider's maybe?

Lindsey was down from the crates and putting the egg sac up before she looked at the final corner. She hadn't seen any spider at the other corner. So, this was the perfect chance.
So, she headed over slowly and began to look into the darkness carefully. Lindsey knew she could find some if she looked hard enough. Where were those little guys?
As she moved around, the boats continued their occasional thunk thunk and the weak sunlight struggled to provide any respite from the gloom inside the boathouse.
But obscured by the shady corner they had chosen, were two blue spiders if Lindsey looked close enough.
One was hidden away in a crack in the wood, clearly uninterested in their visitor and seeking to squish as much of it's body away as it could. A few legs still poked out.
The second was weaving a new, silvery web. It was moving back and forth quickly to add more threads. If this spider had sensed Lindsey was around, it certainly didn't acknowledge her.
But catching either of them wouldn't be an easy task and Lindsey would have to choose wisely which one to go for.

Lindsey saw them and smiled. She really wanted both, but she would have to be quick in order to just get one. She chose the one that was out working it's web. She held her breath and watched as it worked. She was trying to decide the best time to grab...
After a few moment, she made the grab for the spider, closing her hands quickly around the Spider so as to trap it and put it into something it couldn't escape from. When she looked to see if the other was there, she tried to find the crack in the wood. It was likely gone, but maybe she would get lucky.
The web building spider tried to scuttle away when hands closed around it, caught. She had successfully retrieved one spider at least.
Squished between the wooden boards was the second spider. It had inched further into the crack it was hiding in but if Lindsey was quick enough, she might be able to pluck it out.
Or force it out with something that could fit into the same gap.

The other spider was still there and she smiled. But it was wedged in there and she knew she was going to have to figure out how to get it out. After putting the other spider away, she looked in her bag and found a piece of parchment, which she folded up and put into the crack away from the spider. Slowly, she pulled the parchment towards the spider.
Her other hand was ready and when she was able to push the spider out, made a quick grab for it, hoping she would be able to grab it quick enough.
The spider definitely didn't appreciate being poked and prodded with the parchment. It tried to fight back with a few legs but lost the battle.
It was shoved out of the hole and Lindsey had a few moments to carefully (but quickly) grab it. The spider was captured, wriggling a few times before stilling.
Sadly the silvery cobweb would be left unfinished but Lindsey now had two decent spiders that would be perfect for using in some potions.
And, for the meanwhile, there was nothing left for her in the boathouse.

Lindsey smiled brightly when she had captured the second spider and put it away. She stood and dusted herself off before she looked at the list for what she needed in the potion. Well, she still needed to find Lucas, but for now, she could go by the kitchen. Tarrow was on the list and she needed it. The more she had, maybe it would help her in the long run.
