Lindsey had left Reena near the trophy room and had returned to the Slytherin Dorms long enough to put away any unwanted items. The girl needed to be prepared and this was how she did it.
It wasn't long before she was headed deep into the dungeons, her wand already out as she went.
"Lumos," she said as it got darker, her eyes focused ahead to try and remember where she was. But, she was already past where she had turned around before. She had to find Mitsy.
As with her last visit this far, she could swear there was something strange coming from another darkened corridor, beyond where her wandlight reached -- almost a small cry or whimper. The dungeons were colder down here though, and the torches weren't as effective as they were in more ventured areas. Even her lit wand did only so much.
In fact, after making another turn it was getting harder for Lindsey to orient herself, even for a Slytherin accustomed to the Dungeons. Where was she? If she went further, she might find her answers -- but the chances of finding her way out again got slimmer the deeper she went.

Lindsey was already deep into this, she wasn't turning around now, so she continued deeper into the dungeon. The sounds were somewhere in the dungeons and she was focusing all her thoughts on finding that house-elf.
The wand was doing little, except maybe to give her a nightlight. Who knew what enchantments were deep in the dungeons. She swallowed hard at the thought.
"Mitsy? Where ye lass?" Lindsey called out into the darkness as she walked. She felt her flesh prickle from the cold, her nose even grew cold. It felt like the beginning of winter down here, just less peaceful.
The corridor seemed to stretch forever, winding as it went. The light from Lindsey's wand began to help a lot, though the spookiness of the cold dungeon began to close in on her as she became well and truly in unfamiliar territory.
Finally, under brighter torchlight, there was a cabinet. In front of it was a pink house elf, cowering on the floor and covering her ears. The cabinet gave a violent shake, causing the elf to whimper in fear.

Lindsey was grateful for the wand, but it didn't help the chill. She should have grabbed her cloak to go over her uniform. But, then it might have gotten in the way? Lindsey wasn't really sure. It was strange down here, she didn't know which way she came and she was good and lost. Maybe that was the point?
When she came to a bright torch, she heard the whimpering and looked down to see the elf from her vision. Holding her ears and leaning against the cabinet. It shook and even she jumped.
Lindsey knelt down and touched Mitsy on the shoulder softly. "Mitsy," she said, pulling her hand away.
Mitsy shrieked in fright at being touched, though didn't scamper away. The elf peered at Lindsey, then nodded her head to confirm that was her name even though she wasn't asked. Mitsy sighed in relief to see a student. She hurried to her feet, stepping a bit behind Lindsey to distance herself from the cabinet. She pointed urgently to it.
A moment later, the cabinet's handle turned on its own -- unlocking itself. The doors swung open and...
This is a co-op modded moment. In your next post, describe what emerges from the cabinet. It's a Boggart -- thus takes on the form of whatever frightens Lindsey the most.

Lindsey watched as the House Elf went around her and then heard the cabinet begin to open. She stood and took a step back, putting her free hand out to shield Mitsy before it opened all the way.
Her eyes narrowed as the darkness she couldn't see.
That when she saw him...
Her father...
But before her was not the strong man she knew, he was frail and weak looking. His eyes and cheek were sunk, like he was starving. Before her was a man she could not fathom seeing. A man dying... a man dying that she loved with her heart.
He was gripping the cabinet with both hands, but he did not speak, he just stood there before he fell to the ground, unmoving.
"Da!" How could this be, how could this man be before her on the ground? Her ears were streaming with tears as she began to rushed to his side, unable to truly think beyond pure horror and grief.

Mitsy, with surprisingly strength for such a small and terrified house elf, seized hold of Lindsey's sleeve to stop her from rushing forward. She stared at the figure, unblinking and afraid. Yet she kept grip to keep Lindsey from acting out of emotion by rushing into danger.
It enabled her a chance to think it through first. Let the shock wear off enough to focus on what was happening and what to do about it. Surely that wasn't really her father?

Lindsey stopped at the pressure in her sleeve, looking down at Mitsy. Why was she scared of her father...
Why...
Why was her father in a cabinet in the dungeons? Her mind began to work and she looked around slowly at the figure in the ground...
Why...
The mirror of the mirrors flash through her mind. Her parents were never actually there either.
This wasn't her father.
With the torch there, she lifted her wand.
"Nox," she said, causing her want to stop glowing. She felt her blood boil. How dare this creature take the form of her father. The man was a Saint! The man was her hero! The man was her everything!
"Riddikulus!" she yelled at the figure, her voice was filled with anger as she did so!
The Boggart's form was altered into whatever Lindsey focused on that was amusing. If it was strong enough, causing her to laugh out loud, then the Boggart wouldn't stand a chance.
Mitsy watched on, waiting for something to happen -- yet cast an occasional glance at Lindsey as well. This was a defining moment, in the name of progress. What was the cabinet doing out here, anyway? Had someone set it here intentionally? Was it a test? There was only one way to find out...
This is a co-op modded moment. Describe what the new form is, to force into something she instead finds amusing.

The figure began to morph, turning into a pill of clothing and then her father rose out of them, dressed in mix-matched Highland clothing.
The man's hair was a mess, he was smiling from ear to ear before he started dancing around. This earned laughter of Lindsey, her hand resting on her stomach as she watched her father dance about.
It was the best thing to her. Then, it was gone, the Boggart gone and now she stood looking at this misplaced cabinet.
Why was this in here? She touched the door knob and then looked at Mitsy.
"Why are you here, Mitsy?"

Lindsey's laughter confused the Boggart, who stuttered and struggled. Then it dissolved into nothing, defeated by her counter-active power.
The cabinet slammed shut, startling Mitsy.
When Lindsey reached for the doorknob, she'd turned to speak with the house elf but her question went unheard -- because when she'd turned back, Mitsy was gone. The cabinet was open (though she hadn't seen or heard it do so, but empty -- except for a note attached inside by magic.
It was a message from Dumbledore explaining he left it in case he was forced out of Hogwarts before he could combine the four artefacts -- saying they hold immense power and the longer they're apart (not in their proper place), the more vulnerable the castle's magic becomes. It was believed that Rowena Ravenclaw had a secret artefact room somewhere in the castle. It's essential that you find it.

Lindsey jumped when the cabinet slammed shut and then turned back to Mitsy, but she was gone. Long gone! Well, maybe she was back in the Kitchen with her other house elf friends.
As she looked at the opened the door, she saw the note and felt her stomach curl at the words written by the old headmaster. Now, she needed to find the artefact and this room?
If it was Ravenclaw, maybe it was somewhere the Ravenclaws would be? Like their house? But she had never been to the Ravenclaw house, she didn't know where it might be. She rubbed her neck and looked at the note again, bring it to the torch to read it in better light.
It likely didn't hold a clue, but she read it again. Nothing else new seemed to pop out. So, she put it in her bag and lifted her wand again.
"Lumos," she began working her way the direction she came, hoping she wasn't too lost.
