#18 Dyeing for Your Art

Kassia was fascinated at how her paintbrush magically cleaned itself everytime she needed it. She wondered at the possibilities of design and textiles. It was a shame Hogwarts didn't offer magical art classes. Painting was enjoyable, not not exactly her medium.

Kassia figured children weren't interested in design, but her childish step sister certainly enjoyed nature. Kassia recalled a program she'd watched of birds of the river Nile, and painted it. Capturing the movement of the birds was the most difficult. The simple backdrop was easier.

Kassia set her brush down once she was satisfied. She wondered at how the paint had already set and dried. She wasn't sure of the time, but her stomach informed her it was nearly lunch. Kassia picked up her canvas and walked from the classroom.
