#16 Adventures of a Cold Boy

Ezra had crouched down at the first patch that he spotted only to find that it had been destroyed by something, causing him to let out a sad little sigh. There went his hope of grabbing the first one that he found and escaping back inside to be done. He couldn't turn up to Professor Snape's office with scraps of an ingredient though.

He wondered what had destroyed the plants. Surely not a student? But no, he spotted the paw prints and his head quickly darted around as if he could catch sight of the kitty culprit.

The urge to be finished with his task had him turning back to it after a moment, rather than trying to spot the cat to say hello. It seemed like he turned back to it only to receive more disappointment.

It was far too high for the little first year and he couldn't even spot a way to climb the wall! Climbing probably would not have been a good idea anyway, when he was still so cold and regularly stopping to rub at his sniffling nose, but he had not taken that into account so it was a good thing that he couldn't spot a way to climb the wall.

Not wanting to give up and have to go outside properly, Ezra carried on his search and was finally rewarded with the perfect patch. A patch that he was quick to pick two bundles of ingredient from.

With those two put away in his pocket, he glanced around the courtyard one last time before he decided that would have to do. If he was not so cold then he would have liked more, but he did not really need it right then, so back inside he went.
