Once again, the two orbs collided in mid-air, with the strongest element winning - water. It continued on its path, which was directly towards him. During this moment, the hole sealed itself to signify conclusion.
When Jonathan recovered from being hit with a wave of water, suddenly holes opened all along the walls to quickly begin filling the room with water - giving the impression he was about to be drowned. The room's door was locked, with water rapidly rising.
However, once it reached waist-height, though he'd likely be swimming by then, it evaporated into steam - drying and warming him in the process. The door's lock clicked to allow his exit.

Joe had kind of expected a splash of water but he was still surpised by it. He watched as the hole closed, musing that he had lost this game but certainly gained some experience from it. He turned towards the door, having recovered from being splashed when he noticed the holes opening and water flooding the room.
He hurried forward, reaching for the door knob but found it shut. "No,no, no, no, no!", Joe wailed. Panic rising with every inch of water he tried to open the door again, before looking for another way out.
He started to swim when the water was about waist high, his robes quickly filling with water and dragging him down with their weight. He was about to remove them when the water was drained as sudden as it had started to flow in and he let himself sink with it, turning on his back in the process.
The warming and drying sensation was somewhat comforting and he heard the door click open, suddenly feeling foolish that he had gotten scared yet again. Of course this room would not actually want to kill him, this was a school and he was here to learn magic, not survival.
Having had enough of the room he quickly got to his feet and left. Once outside he decided he was in no mood to stick around longer to find out what lay behind the other doors but that he would return some other day.
Maybe he could find Ryan now? No, he was probably still busy. Joe would have to find some less exciting activity to pass the time with.
