Rubes was glad to have gotten out of the forest alive, though not entirely unscathed. Her throbbing hands were a reminder that the forest was not a safe place to be, especially if you were travelling alone with no way to defend yourself if you ran into trouble. Thankfully, she hadn't run into any serious trouble. She was still conscious, still breathing and most of her body, with the exception of her hands, was operational.
Approaching the hospital wing, she knocked on the door with her elbow, to save her hands from any extra pain, then stood and waited to be allowed in. Hopefully, the nurse would be able to clean and fix up her wounds without Rubes having to do too much explaining on how the injuries came about.

The knock on one of thee double doors, which were wide open, caught Madam Pomfrey's attention. She approached Ruby and tutted at the state of the girl's hands and knees. Luckily for Ruby, she indeed didn't ask any questions - a 1st year with scrapes and bruises were hardly anything new or mysterious.
'Have a seat.' She indicated to a bed for Ruby to sit down. Pomfrey cast a few cleaning charms, which left her skin feeling rather cold at the injured spots. While there were spells that could heal, Pomfrey preferred a more direct method in this case.
'Rub this on anywhere that hurts.' She handed Ruby a small container of balm, which would sting quite a bit but quickly heal up her injuries. Her skin would be left feeling tender but no longer hurt. 'Is anywhere else sore?' she asked.
Willing her aching body to continue its forward motion, Rubes shuffled into the hospital wing and sat on the bed that Madam Pomfrey had indicated, finally feeling like she was able to put her feet up, take a breather and calm down after her escape from the creepy forest.
"Thankyou."
She took the balm and started applying it to her torn up hands and knees, feeling a rather strong stinging sensation in her skin as the wounds began to heal.
"Not soreanywhere else, just myhands andknees. Hada littleaccident outside. Feels good to have everything fixed up now."
Madam Pomfrey nodded at Ruby's response, watching her apply the balm to make sure she didn't miss anything.
'You're free to go,' she said, accepting back the tiny balm jar when Ruby was finished. 'Do try to be more carful.' There was nothing else to say, as it was a quick fix-up and there was nothing else the girl needed. Pleased with the outcome, Pomfrey headed back making the beds using magic.
Rubes handed the jar of balm back to Madam Pomfrey and smiled with great satisfaction as her wounds healed. In almost no time at all, the cuts had vanished and her hands and knees were back to looking normal again.
Finally pain-free, Rubes hopped off the bed and wandered off in the direction of her common room where her nice, warm and comfortable bed awaited her arrival. A bit of sleep would help her feel much better.
