Early-morning sunshine shone through the windows of the Hospital Wing, rousing Amelia from her sleep. The light wasn't so bright she couldn't ignore it, thanks to the cloudy sky, but Madam Pomfrey standing beside her bed to refill the water jug was hard to ignore.

'How are you feeling?' Pomfrey asked. She gave Amelia a chance to properly wake up before fussing over her, checking the healing progress. From what she could see, the lucky Gryffindor was all fixed up - but there might be invisible symptoms so she needed to hear it from Amelia herself.

Only once they've had that discussion could Pomfrey determine if Amelia was free to be released for breakfast or would be staying put a while longer.

Amelia had drifted off to sleep, still thinking about that blasted elf. She was sure she had dreamed of him too, but as she woke, her dreams had become blurred and hazy. As the sun filtered through the windows, she tried to close her eyes back and rolled her head away.

The sudden sound of water made her blink and she glanced over to see the Healer doing her normal thing. Yawning, she pulled herself up, checking herself as she pushed up and rolled onto her side.

It took a moment for her to register the question and she blinked a few times, removing the sleep with her fingers and pulling in a deep breath of air.

"I feel... fine Madam Pomfrey. Nothing burns or itches this morning." She said as she set the rest of the way up and looked at the woman.

With Amelia properly wake and aware, Madam Pomfrey checked her over for any lingering effects or injury. Everything had healed well. Her face might feel a bit weird throughout the day, but with no other symptoms there was no reason to keep the girl any longer. She was tempted to, knowing there was a Gryffindor practice that afternoon, but Amelia was fine.

'Try to keep the excitement to a manageable level today, at least.' Pomfrey sighed, still miffed about how many Gryffindors had ended up in the Hospital Wing yesterday. Free time did not serve them well, apparently.

'Well, I suppose you're free to go, then.' She made shooing gestures. She checked some charts while waiting for Amelia to leave, lingering in case the girl had any questions or concerns. Pomfrey needed to be sure everything was finished here before she also headed off to breakfast.

Amelia waited, though inside she was ready to get out of here. First, she was hungry. Sure she got food from the night before, but it wasn't enough, mostly because she couldn't get extra. Stretching her toes a bit, she let her fingers run over her cheek, maybe a little odd feeling after yesterday. At the mention of excitement, Amelia smiled sheepishly.

"I will do my best Madam Pomfrey, I promise." It was likely an empty promise, but she didn't exactly want to end up back in this place. As she was told to leave, she stood and gathered anything she could find that was her. She needed to go and get dressed before going to Breakfast. She felt grimy from a lack of shower.

So, she raced up the halls of the castle and towards the common room, smiling and greeting those who did the same for her.
