Oh why did she have to go into the Slytherin common room? She didn't know anybody in Slytherin very well, but she was especially frightened of Professor Snape. Worried that she would get caught on the way over as Grace Babineaux, she'd held her Ravenclaw robes up over her head, being extra sneaky. For a first year. Now that she was here, she downed the Polyjuice Potion, preparing for its awful taste, and started looking for the entrance. She wondered if it was behind a painting or something, like her own.
She waited for the Polyjuice potion to take effect before looking for anything. She made up a few excuses in her head for if she got caught, especially taking Professor Snape into mind. Her cousin used to sneak out, she just had to remember ways to sneak out like she did.
The potion was somehow grosser than the last time, probably because the aftertaste lingered. Or perhaps it was fateful punishment for whoever would actually consume more than one does of that foul potion in the same night. Either way, it wasn't fun.
Nor was the weird feeling of changing into yet another 2nd year, as it was the best year to disguise herself as without seeming too out of place. This girl was taller than Grace had been, by a noticeable amount, and her hair was a thick afro.
Though she was yet to try the Hufflepuff common room, Grace had a feeling that the Slytherin one would be the hardest - not just because it required a password, from what she'd heard, but also it seemed to not exist. Of course it existed, but all she saw were stone walls - no portraits or doors or any indication of there being a common room hidden nearby. Salazar Slytherin didn't make it easy for others to find his house's domain.
Before she had long to contemplate her predicament and how to proceed, luck was on her side. An older Slytherin entered the dungeon corridor, looking as if he was just trying to stay awake long enough to reach his bed. He was filthy and his arm bandaged, so was likely a returning volunteer from what happened on the grounds. He gave Grace one glance, then fortunately seemed to recognise her - not by name, but as if her appearance was all he needed to go ahead and say the password to a blank wall that looked the same as all the other walls.
With the password spoken spoken, the outline of a double door appeared - which they turned into the self-opening entrance itself. The lighting was certainly different to what Grace might be used to, and no doubt the view looking out into the lake would be either impressive or scary to her. Perhaps even both? But there was no mistaking those two things, which further set Slytherin apart from the other houses. There was a grandness to it.
The older student who'd helped her gain entrance hadn't said a word to her, too tired and uninterested - though likely assumed she was doing a dare or had just needed some spare clothes. Either way, he vanished into the common room before she could get a word out.
Regardless, she'd gained entry and could now make her way inside.
Grace may proceed to the Slytherin common room location. If possible, use whichever thread is already being posted in. If none are available, you may create your own. Once you leave the room, the polyjuice will immediately wear off.

Oh thank goodness. She nodded respectfully at the older year, like she imagined the Slytherin girl she had transformed into. She covered up the Ravenclaw crests visible on the robes she'd borrowed from Gerald as best she could, and tried to remember the Slytherin password for later, but it seemed like it was already leaving her mind in the excitement. Oh well, at least she had a new idea for an excuse: injured by helping with Braxorns. Not that she would need it now, she thought, entering the common room behind the older Slytherin.
