Looking for some excitement (open)

"I don't think we've met before. I'm Ruby, you can call me Rubes." Rubes eyed Lucky with interest. He seemed like the type of person she was currently looking for, someone who may have a bit of a rebellious streak in them. Perhaps he could provide her with some entertainment.

"What do I consider fun? Jigsaw puzzles....theatre shows....spending time with friends. The kids I've been hanging out with pleasant people, but I'm currently on the look-out for someone who's a bit more of the rebellious type, someone who doesn't always do what they're told. Are you that kind of person?"

Ah, formal pleasantries. How boring. 'Lucky.' He nodded with his introduction, but realized he would have to clarify. 'That's my name, although I'm sure you probably feel lucky to meet me, too.' He chuckled a little at his own joke. You needed a sense of humor to thoroughly interact with Luckett Langford. Hopefully his younger housemate had one. 'Nice to meet you, Rubes.'

Lucky tilted his head as if to listen to her, then nodded again. 'I am that kind of person. I've had my fair share of rebellious adventures -- with many more to come, no doubt.' He boasted, his chest swelling with pride. 'In short, you're talking to the right guy.' He motioned to himself.

The clouds took on a lurid, bruised light and the sky began to darken. It was almost dinner time. 'So, why don't we have a little fun.' He flashed a conspiratorial grin. 'You know how adults always tell us to not play with our food? I say we put our food into play, if you know what I mean.' The thought of a food fight was exciting. It hadn't been done before from what Lucky could remember. 'I hope you have a good arm, Rubes, because I want you to make the first throw. What do you say?' Lucky was a bad influence, but she asked for unruly fun. Right?

Lucky extended an arm in hopes of sliding the limb around Ruby's shoulders. 'What do I have in mind? It's quite simple.' Within that moment, members of the faculty were encouraging students to head inside and prepare for dinner. 'Let's talk, walk and sort this plan out, yeah?'

He began to stroll down the main corridor, endeavoring to herd the first year toward the Great Hall. 'When dinner commences, you pick whatever your hungry heart desires.' He protracted a finger in an attempt to gently poke her shoulder. 'Whatever's on the menu, Rubes. You could pick a roast turkey, a boiled potato or even a fat chipolata.' He shrugged. 'And then you just chuck it -- anywhere you want. Although, it'd be funny if you aimed it at someone. Anyone.'

Who needed an entire feast? The thought of Ruby Farrowbrooke causing a food fight was as delicious as delicious could get. 'You in?' He grinned, a mischievous twinkle in his eager eyes.

There was too much talking and not enough agreement. 'You're overthinking it, Rubes.' His tone stayed calm, belying the frustration he was feeling. She wanted to have fun, right? This was a beyond perfect starter to embark on her journey of rebelliousness. Ruby needed to commit and let go of everyone else's expectations of her. 'There's no magic necessary.'

Lucky reached the end of the main corridor, leaving only a small distance between them and the Great Hall. 'All you have to do is throw the first food item you see at the first person you see -- preferably a member of an opposite house.' He said with a tilt of his head, wondering what would happen if she had tossed it at a Hufflepuff. 'Throw it at someone that will react.'

It was taking longer to convince Ruby than Lucky had hoped. 'You make the first move, the rest of the student body will follow. Nobody will be able to blame only you, because everyone would be guilty of participation.' He removed himself from Farrowbrooke's side and began to walk without her. He turned his head, flashed a smirk and spoke to her one final time. 'You won't get caught, Rubes. Trust me.' He hoped she'd go through with the notion, because if she did, she could exceed everyone's expectations. After his last word, he strolled into the castle.
