After leaving Oisin and the Gobstones games, he'd beelined toward where he figured that Amber would be. Unable to find her there, he'd come back to the castle and had ended up finding her there, going back to her tower... soaked.
Again.
Poor thing was having an experience with water today, it seemed like, but he'd managed to catch her attention and ask her to get the other Ravenclaws on her away up. It was easy to get going when one had friends, but he really did feel bad for her.
Maybe some fun was what she needed today. It was Christmas! She shouldn't have been doing all the hard work anyway. Besides, Caine wanted to play! So, when they'd parted, Caine had nearly jogged down to the Hufflepuff Common rooms, spreading the word for the others to meet him on the training grounds.
It was a flurry of madness and chaos - a few others rushing to dress and Caine slipping back out the door to make his way back to the grounds.
There, alone, ready to go, the Hufflepuff began the fine, fine art of making snowballs. He would make one for one side, place it, another for another side, place it. It wouldn't be long before everyone came down but he wondered just how exciting it could be if everyone left got involved.
He doubted it would be that serious but it could be a lot of fun if the others had heard. Hopefully Oisin had gotten word to the Slytherins and the Gryffindors, too. He crossed his fingers.
Imagine it!
All the houses having a friendly game! Ha! It was a Christmas miracle! Add to that - he could probably snag Amber with a snowball if he was lucky! Then again, he knew that girl's arm and probably would catch one right back.
The thought had him grinning as he continued his work. Packing snowballs that he hoped weren't too tight and settling them on either side. Even numbered. Even paced.
All he had to do was wait.

As soon as he arrived in the Gryffindor common room, Oisin yelled loudly about the snowball fight happening outside at the Training Grounds. After a moment of shocked silence, there were loud cheers and whoops, with maybe one groan.
Giving a few lines of explanation, Oisin ran up to his dorm and picked new clothes at random, throwing the stinky ones on the floor. He was in such a hurried excitement, that he forgot to don his enchanted glasses. He didn't need them for this fight, considering there wouldn't be any teams, but it would be nice to aim a snowball or two at a snake.
Once dressed in clean clothes (though terribly mismatched), and with a hot shower behind him, Oisin nearly sprinted down the stairs from the 7th floor towards the Dungeons.
From what little conversation he had with the Slytherin during their gobstones games, they had plans to catch up on some work in the library. Truthful to their word, Oisin found them packing their books, just finished studying, and quickly explained the plan.
The Slytherin looked at him incredulously, but with a sigh, promised to relay the word to the housemates when they would return to the common room soon.
With a slap to their back in gratitude, Oisin made his way outside and told the news to every student he saw on the way. Oisin trudged through the snow towards the Training Grounds, his breath misting in the frosty air.
His Gryffindor scarf was wrapped tightly around his neck to ward off the biting chill of the winter. Snowflakes danced lazily around him, settling on his unruly hair and the shoulders of his thick cloak.
He couldn't help but grin as he made his way towards the Training Grounds, anticipation bubbling in his chest for the upcoming snowball fight. As he approached the designated area, he could already some semblance of activity. Caine was there, with some kids from other houses.
"Hey, Caine!" Oisin called out, waving enthusiastically to the Hufflepuff. "You ready for this snowball showdown?"
Oisin was more than ready, he even had a speech prepared and everything if they decided to make teams after all.
But first, preparations were in order. Oisin bent down to scoop up handfuls of snow, packing them tightly into perfect spheres. His fingers quickly grew numb from the cold, but he paid it no mind, the thrill of the upcoming mayhem driving him forward.
After ensuring he had a plentiful supply of ammunition, Oisin took a moment to survey the battleground. He identified several places where forts could be made, offering ample cover for both offense and defense. His eyes narrowed as he plotted out potential ambush spots and escape routes.
He joined Caine and the boy's pile of snowballs, whistling impressively at the amount the Hufflepuff had.
''Do you want to make some rules? Like, no magic, no ganging up on a specific house, something?'' Oisin asked him. He didn't want this to become a reason for strife. It should be a happy occasion.
Post by Caine Hawke on Mar 19, 2024 7:17:11 GMT 10
His name echoed across the cold and he turned to see Oisin striding toward him, waving. Smiling in response, the Hufflepuff lifted his free hand in a wave of greeting in return.
”I’m absolutely ready!” he called, pointing toward the piles he’d been working on for each side. He was proud of his progress and had done it to be nice.
After the initial show the two of them got back to making snowballs for the sides.
”You work on that pile, I’ll work on this one?” He had a feeling that if others showed up it would be a fun time. Part of him wanted to see if he could toss a snowball with magic – boy that would be fun, wouldn’t it?
”I agree no ganging up on houses… But I want to see if I can toss one of these things with magic!” He’d try it later, he was sure,
”Maybe no magic while in active combat… we could try tossing snowballs with charms after, I guess.”
He’d tossed rocks. How hard could a snowball be?
If only he knew a charm to make the snowball with magic! How quickly they’d have a collection then!

Amber had managed to find her way back to the castle in her still soaked and grumpy state, though to her surprise she had stumbled across Caine. A very eager Caine, buzzing even more with energy than usual. And she soon was told the reason for it: a snow ball fight!
A snowball fight?
That suggestion somehow lit up a fire in Amber (a very nice fire) and filled her up with new energy. Of course she would participate! All day long she had wanted to throw a snowball at Caine but hadn’t found the chance yet. This was perfect timing!
The cold now out of her mind, she rushed back to the Ravenclaw Tower. There, she quickly got changed into another set of warm clothes, cast another warming spell and filled up a bottle with hot tea.
A cup of tea dissipated the last corner of cold in her body, and Amber looked through the dorm to find someone to join the snowball fight. She didn’t find many willing people, she couldn’t even see any of her teammates, though wondered what they were up to. But she hung up a notice in the Common Room with an invitation to the fight at the Training Grounds under the presumptions of ‘training’.
After everything in her power was done, Amber wrapped Josh’s Hufflepuff scarf around her neck again (it was a mere miracle that it had survived the day unscathed compared to her Ravenclaw beanie and other clothes), pulled an orange beanie over her head so that only the ends of her pigtails were visible, and pulled on some thick gloves. She carefully hid away her Captains badge beneath her jacket.
She didn’t want to leave it behind at her dorm, though also didn’t want to lose it in the snow during the snowball fight. And she was sure it would get rowdy.
Amber then made her way towards the Training Grounds, a little skip in her step. Her mood had made a nosedive after the bad room and being soaked to the bone again. Overall, the whole day had been awful.
Yes, the little time with Caine in the morning had been fun, and yes, she had gotten a lot of school stuff done, but at what price? Amber mostly remembered to constantly be either wet, slimy or cold. None she had wished for to be.
Well, the snowball fight might bring the cold back again, but this time she was prepared with warm tee. And her best friend Caine was there. Alone the thought improved her mood by a margin, it being the reason for her skips.
With red cheeks because of the cold air, Amber appeared at the grounds. The scrunching snow beneath her feet announced her arrival. In the beginning, her steps had been careful, but as soon as Caine came into view, Amber dropped her bag with a loud thump and sprinted towards her friend, ignoring everyone else for that matter, even the Gryffindor boy right next to him.
“Caine!” She screamed with a beaming smile and tackled him in full swing just as he had a finished snowball in his hand. It was just too good to see him!
But it was up to him to catch her or take a dive into the snow with her.

''You've already done most of the ammunition gathering,'' Oisin laughed and stooped beside Caine, helping him out by making more snowballs.
It wouldn't be a full student body at the fight, but it was always better to have more snowballs than not.
''We could have two sections in the training grounds?'' Oisin suggested, tapping his chin. This was a conundrum indeed.
''One for snowball fights, one for magic experiments. Maybe another for architecture, like building a snowman? So three?'' the Gryffindor suggested. The grounds were certainly big enough, but if people would listen, that was the real question.
Oisin was momentarily distracted by a loud yell. He instinctively turned towards it, but it was just a girl screaming for Caine.
He sidestepped, wanting to avoid any collateral collisions and watched the pair. Oisin wondered briefly if that was Caine's girlfriend. He recognized her as one of the Ravenclaws from his year, but didn't know much about her personally, except the name.
''Hey,'' the Gryffindor waved at Amber, but was soon distracted by a pointed cough behind him.
He turned again to see his Slytherin aquaintance watching them, rather unimpressed with the whole loud displayed. They pointed to a small group of younger snakes behind them, before going to the edge of the training grounds, muttering about trying to make a replica of their family manor out of snow.
Oisin clapped in delight, before focusing his attention back to Caine and Amber.
''How long do you want to wait for people to gather?'' he asked the Hufflepuff and while he waited for an answer, resumed adding snowballs to the already impressive piles.
Post by Caine Hawke on Mar 25, 2024 0:04:48 GMT 10
Caine wasn’t worried about how many snowballs he’d made yet. No, he still had more to do if people were going to join them. Why not make it easy to get started? Why not do something nice for the younger years that might join them?
He didn’t mind the work. It kept his focus on one thing so he didn’t have to keep picking and choosing new things to do… so that was a plus. Even if his hands were cold.
Even if he felt silly just packing snowballs and settling them with the others.
But at least Oisin was there and helping. Coming up with ideas about the training grounds. Something about two sections.
For a second Caine stood straight, glancing over at the other side of the field with a thoughtful look, a slow grin taking over his face.
”Well, if we wanted – OOF!” Something smacked into his, his name registering afterward as he smacked into the snow. It was a tangle of limbs, pigtails and snow!
Caine lay there for a second, staring up at the sky, wondering what had happened. The snow wasn’t as soft a blanket as he’d thought but he wasn’t hurt and the arms around his friend had, hopefully, kept her from smacking into the ice, too.
That was when the giggles started.
”Caught me off guard!” He teased, shuffling, with one turn he was separated and starting to stand, dusting snow off himself as he went. Just in time to see some little Slytherins take to the field.
”They’ll be coming and going for a while, I imagine.” he said to Oisin over his shoulder, ”And as for two sides… I say just let ‘em do what they want. They have to be structured all day long every day… let them loose.”
There was no need in telling the others where to do things. If they were caught in a snowball fight and just wanted to build snow sculptures… well, that was a risk he was willing to take.
They’d be just fine.
Scooping up a hand full of loose snow he tossed it toward Amber with a grin.
”That’s for flattening me on the ground.” The playful tone he had would, hopefully, let her know he wasn’t upset about it. He’d taken worse spills in Quidditch anyway.
”Oh! Oisin, this is my friend Amber. Ravenclaw extraordinaire and the one that tries to keep me out of detention.” He wouldn’t mention that it failed a lot.
But she tried! And that was what really mattered in the end.

Amber didn’t know what she had expected would happen if she dived into her friend like that.
Well, for a change, she hadn’t thought it through beforehand and just reacted out of instinct, demanding a well-needed hug. Perhaps with a little bit more energy than necessary…
In one moment her arms were wrapped around Caine, in the next she noticed his arms around her and the both of them hitting the ground. The landing was not soft per se, the snow harder than it looked. But Caine’s arm had at least protected her head from touching the ground.
Snow swirled up around them while they lay on the ground and snowflakes drizzled onto Amber’s face, though they instantly melted on her warm cheeks.
She turned her face to Caine and burst out into laughter, joined by her friend.
“Hey, I had announced my arrival!” Amber protested, still giggling, then was shoved to the side, so both of them could get up again.
When she stood, she finally noticed the Gryffindor next to them and waved back before she was hit with snow in her face.
“Oi, the fight’s not starting yet!” Amber returned, though accepted the little revenge from her friend with a laugh.
When Caine introduced her to the Gryffindor, Amber finally had the chance to take a better look at him. It took her a moment to put a name to the face, but the forename helped. It was a rather unusual name after all.
Right, Oisin Gowan!
Though when did Caine make acquaintance with him now? It was really funny, Caine constantly getting to know new people!
Still in a playful mood, Amber saluted towards Oisin.
“At your service!” she exclaimed, then grinned and added, with a nudge at Caine, “Emphasis on trying!”
She quickly took a step to the side as she fully expected to otherwise get more snow into her face, then bent down to gather up some snow. Amber looked to both of the boys while forming a sturdy snowball of her own.
“So, how did you plan to do this? Teams or a free-for-all?”
She threw the snowball in her hand a few inches up just to catch it again, constantly repeating the motion.
Amber wasn't sure if they had planned anything prior to this, though she would go with both options - as long as she would be able to whack a snowball at Caine. A snowball fight was the most fun if you played against your friends, after all.
These thoughts were clearly visible with the smirk directed at her friend, the moving snowball now appearing as a playful threat.

Oisin's gaze lingered on two figures, their laughter and giggles kind of grating at his mind.
A pang of envy pierced Oisin's chest, a feeling he was rather unfamiliar with. His fists clenched at his sides, nails digging into his palms as he struggled to contain the emotions within him.
He felt a bitter taste rise in his throat, his chest tight with the weight of his own insecurities. Oisin really wanted to have friends like these. Most people didn't bother to get to know him better.
The Gryffindor had been used too many times as a shiny, weird toy to poke only to be discarded as soon as the fascination faded. Well, his general cold attitude after finding out the fact didn't help either.
''Charmed, I'm sure,'' Oisin bit, plastering a wide, though rather fake, smile on his face when Caine introduced the girl to him.
He offered Amber a hand to shake, but dropped it as soon as it was polite to do so.
The boy didn't like what all these feelings had to say about him. He didn't want to become someone so very bitter. He would have to just do better.
Breathing deeply, Oisin squared up and stretched, giving Amber a short reply.
''We can just start,'' he waved his hand in the approximate direction of where some people were already forming teams. ''Maybe have 30 minutes for preparation?''
''I'll take these ones,'' Oisin shrugged and jogged to the group, leaving the two to their own devices. It was awkward being the third wheel, better to exit stage left the situation. Maybe being with the younger years wouldn't left him feeling so lonely.
''Alright, pipsqueaks, listen up!'' he clapped his hand once, hard, to get the attention of the young ones.
''Today, we stand on the precipice of the greatest battle this school has ever seen, the legendary Snowmageddon!'' Oisin started, puffing up his chest dramatically and paced back and forth before the group.
''I know what you're thinking. Some might call this mere child's play, a frivolous skirmish in the grand scheme of things. But I say to you, this is no ordinary snowball fight!'' Oisin pointed up to the sky. Some of the students gathered giggled, some were rolling their eyes, but it seemed all were having fun.
''This is our chance to make history, to etch our names into the annals of school lore as the bravest, most formidable snowball fighters ever to grace these hallowed grounds!'' the Gryffindor kneeled in the snow, picking up a smattering of snow and rubbed it in his hand, like he saw in that one movie about gladiators.
''Yes, we face formidable foes,'' he pointed at Caine and Amber. ''With their cunning and stealth, armed with intellect and strategy, threatening to overwhelm us with sheer numbers! But fear not, my friends! For we are mighty!''
Oisin motioned for the students to clamor closer and they started debating the strategy and defense position while some started to ready their forts and other defenses.

Charming?
Though while the word sounded nice, his voice didn't fit - and neither the smile on his face. A smile which didn't reach his eyes.
Amber shook his hand, though confusion was seen on her face for a split second.
Had she done something wrong? Should she have reached out for the handshake first instead of playing around with a salute?
Or perhaps it was just the dive into the snow from her and Caine earlier. Tackling one of her best friends like that might not make a good 'first' impression.
Or maybe he was just in a bad mood.
The second was over and she genuinely smiled at both Oisin and Caine.
Amber didn't quite care right now for what reason the Gryffindor had reacted like he did.
She had enough of being glum today. She wanted to have fun and be in a good temper. And Amber wouldn't permit anything or anyone to prevent this or pull her down!
On the contrary, she would try to lift the spirits of the others instead!
Although, that job was normally done better by Caine or Josh.
Too bad the latter one wasn't here as well, he would have loved that snowball fight... Well, if he felt like missing out, she would be happy to thrust a snowball at him as soon as he came back! No problem!
Thinking about this made Amber grin and she waved at the two boys in front of her.
"Alright, sounds good! Though I'm ready in ten!"
But teams after all, huh? She wondered if that would even work later on or if it would end up in chaos.
As she made her way to another group while collecting her bag, she could still hear the rallying speech from Oisin which made her chuckle.
The boy was fun after all!
As Amber didn't feel like being the spearhead right now, she just got together with some younger years and helped finishing the defences or threw in a few thoughts on strategies because they asked.
However, Amber was so focused on building a snow wall and just uttering ideas away that she didn't notice the cluster of young students forming around her, listening to her in awe.
After all, she was the only one with any plan - and this crazy Seeker, right? And if the newish Quidditch Captain had had such awesome strategies in the game already, how great would be the ones she had now?
Once Amber was ready with building, she dusted her hands off from snow, nodding with content.
"Well, let's do this!" Amber laughed and finally turned her complete attention towards the students around her.
She was baffled by the sight of the assembly - and the chorus of cheers that followed her enthusiastic words.
When did that happen?! Why had she turned into something like a leader after all?
Amber blinked, but then shrugged with a grin.
She would take it as an exercise for being Quidditch Captain.
The group dispersed after their cheers and everyone took their position, ready to strike their opponents.
Post by Caine Hawke on Mar 28, 2024 3:52:25 GMT 10
What was that?
Caine wasn’t the smartest guy on the field and he knew it but he did have one talent… feeling people out.
And Oisin had shifted.
He was so nice during gobstones and the sudden ice when Amber appeared left him far too many questions – maybe he needed to tackle Oisin, too? He smiled and said pleasant words but… that wasn’t a pleasant tone, either.
Hmn indeed.
But, before he could say anything, Oisin was striding off and Amber was too – each one to their own side of toddler years with bright eyes and combat strategy.
A slow, plotting smile took over in his brain and he waited, slipping off to the side to continue to pack a collection all his own. A natural snowbank here, a wall at his back – it wasn’t the safest of bets but he was for Caine’s own benefit.
He could move better own his own.
The Hufflepuff had no illusions that he’d win – not when his friends had a younger year army at their backs but he was ready to give it his all! Because he wanted to have fun. Even if it came at the expense of a million snow balls to the face!
So, he packed and he waited, one snowball after the other before he saw Oisin crouch and Amber turn to her little friends and speak – then he let loose one, then another. A snowball thrown at each of the fifth years before he grinned at the both of them, crouching low.
”All is fair in snowball fights!” He called, picking up another. He couldn’t use magic but he could wait for the snowballs to hit and then, if he was lucky, leap out of the way.
Post by Oisin Gowan on Mar 28, 2024 6:03:52 GMT 10
Oisin helped one of the younger students finish some fortification of the snow bank they were building. It was nothing special, just a very big wall to prevent the snowballs from being thrown directly into their turf. ''Good job,'' he commended the girl, who flashed him a bright smile.
''Now, go take two of the smallest and try to infiltrate that one's team from the sides, or where they're the weakest,'' Oisin suggested and discreetly pointed at Amber.
The girl nodded, her pigtails swinging wildly as she took off towards her classmates. Oisin watched her fondly and motioned for what looked to be third or fourth years to join him.
Just as he was about to give them advice, he felt something hit his back. He turned around to see the culprit and noticed Caine skulking about towards the ground.
''I thought Hufflepuffs were supposed to be fair?'' Oisin asked, raising one of his eyebrows. It wasn't really sporting of him, but hey, it was just a fight. Supposed to be fun, yes?
Hoping that Amber would keep her Hufflepuff loverboy busy, Oisin turned back to the group of four or five students.
''Okay, we've a small infiltration unit on the way there,'' he obviously pointed at Amber. From the outside, it looked like the Gryffindor was ordering them to attack her group.
''We need to distract them so that they can flank them and get some good hits in,'' Oisin paused to give the group, consisting of mostly boys, a chance to suggest something else. One of them pointed to Caine.
''Yes, that one will be dealt with later,'' with a grin, Oisin turned back towards his opponents and gathered up some snowballs.
''Charge!'' he yelled and with a group of screaming students, attacked Amber's team, with varying accuracy.
Post by Amber Lloyd on Mar 28, 2024 7:23:00 GMT 10
Amber was just talking to a few students as suddenly the first snowball soared through the air.
"Look out!" A student nearby exclaimed but it was too late.
Or rather, the call had really bad timing as Amber turned around just to see the snowball flying straight at her. Dodging now was out of the question, so she just protected her face with her arms.
She felt the heavy thud of the snowball, and it burst into lumps and dust of snow.
"Oi, look were you're aiming at!" Amber shouted and glared over her arms towards her friend.
That had been close. A hit to the face would have been awful... She really needed to train dodging... But this felt like revenge was due.
Amber smirked, though a glance towards Oisin revealed that he definitely was planning something. Well, that meant one thing...
"Alright, double plan A!" Amber called out towards the students around her, which already had themselves equipped with snowballs as soon as Caine had thrown the first snowball.
Apparently, they had now two flanks to fight, so immediately groups were formed, two for each side with the same composition.
The first group, the 'strike team', consisted of multiple students, some stacked with snowballs as ammunition providers, some ready to throw them. Not really anything special about that.
However, the second group was something to look at: two older students lifted up a massive boulder of snow - and charged straight at the assault team from Oisin, just in time as he began the charge.
While the 'strike team' tried to deflect some of the attacks and threw they're own snowballs, the 'charge team' was indeed hit by a few snowballs, though some ricocheted as well from the big snow ball between their hands.
When they were in reach, the ball was thrown straight at Oisin's team, like you would throw a bowling ball.
And if they wouldn't get out of the way in time, the students would fall like pins as well.
At the same time, teams of a similar setup were walking towards Caine's base, As she was sure the others got this, Amber was one of the two carrying the massive snow ball towards Caine, tossing it at him after a few feet to get his defences down or him out of it.
"Take that, Caine!" Amber laughed while throwing the ball with alll her might, not sure how far the snowball would really come.

”It is fair! It’s me against all if you!” He shouted with a laugh. He’d seen Oisin’s lips move but hadn’t heard the words – then again, they weren’t too hard to guess.
He didn’t have a strategy. That just wasn’t his style. His style was to keep going until he couldn’t anymore and then he’d give up. It would be a good time!
Besides, it was just snow.
Plans were hatched but he didn’t know them. Amber’s toddler army ran with snowballs blazing, ready to go. It was funny to watch… for a moment.
It seemed like Amber got smacked, too! She yelled at him to watch it but he only shot her a challenging grin, crouching low to snatch up more snow.
Part of him hoped the younger years would get lost in going against one another and leave him with the fifth years but he couldn’t really say that was how it was going to be.
Why would they not come to bury him?
There were younger years with giant snowballs struggling together and Caine bolted – running to the side as his hands worked to smush together snow into a ball and tossing it toward the younger kids with the bigger snowball between them.
Glancing back he noticed that there were kids coming his way with the same issue – giant snowball with Amber toting it, too.
Oh, he hadn’t thought of two – he’d been helping Oisin’s side by trying to take out the little ones there but ended up ignoring the fact Amber was advancing on his meager defenses.
But Caine only had one person to look out for!
The ball was tossed and he felt it smack into his stomach and explode in powder. Falling on his rear her made an oof sound before scrambling upward, kicking the snow off of himself to scramble for his defenses which he’d managed to keep away from the giant.
Another snowball grabbed from his prepared pile and tossed from his side toward her before throwing one back at Oisin too.
Post by Oisin Gowan on Mar 31, 2024 3:44:50 GMT 10
His team cheered when some of the snowballs hit. The infiltration team did their job wonderfully and managed to hold their own very well until they were overwhelmed. The littles retreated back to Oisin's group, getting hit by a hail of snowballs.
Oisin's attention was taken away from the snowball fight to make sure everyone was okay. In the mayhem, they all somehow didn't see the big rolling ball, until it was too late.
An older girl yelled out the warning, but it was nearly too late. His team scattered, but one younger boy slipped on the snow and fell. The ball rolled halfway over his left. He yelped, more in surprise than pain and Oisin was with him in seconds, rolling the ball away from the leg. Luckily, it wasn't fast or big enough to do serious damage or go over the boy's leg completely.
''Hey, be careful you don't hurt anyone!'' Oisin yelled at Amber, glaring at her. Wasn't she supposed to be some kind of captain or prefect or something?
What kind of leader would purposefully hurt others just so that their team would win?
He gave the small boy a once over, asking him quietly if he were hurt. The boy tested his foot, rolling it around, and shook his head.
''Good, you can continue if you feel up to it or go do something else,'' he poked the boy playfully, sighing in relief when he giggled and ran off soon after.
''So much for Ravenclaw smarts,'' Oisin rolled his eyes to himself. All in all, the boy wasn't hurt too much, but the Ravenclaw should have known better.
There was chaos on the grounds, everyone was now attacking everyone. Oisin listened for anything out of the ordinary, but it was just peels of laughter.
Shrugging, and going with the flow of his team now scattered, he rolled on the ground to get away from Caine's snowball. It missed him by an inch. However, his dodging kinda worked against him, since Oisin was now more snowy than if he let the snowball hit him.
He gathered more snow in his arms and quickly made ball after ball, throwing them at Caine, practically bombarding the Hufflepuff. Let him see dodge those!
Post by Amber Lloyd on Mar 31, 2024 17:21:52 GMT 10
The students cheered as they were able to sow even more chaos with their big snowballs, making Oisin’s team scatter and lose their positions, now advancing further.
But they immediately came to a stop when Oisin called out, reaching for the young boy. Even some came over to help. They even put up with a few snowballs aimed at them.
Amber herself hadn’t been able to see everything, she was occupied with throwing her ball at Caine – and she actually hit him!
She grinned as he was tossed to the ground, and was about to cheer as he started to scramble up again. However, Oisin’s shout came across the Training Grounds and Amber turned her head to him.
Was there a reason he had to remind them of this? She herself had at made it clear to her group to not smack snowballs at others faces.
She didn’t notice the glare, only that a boy was tended to. Had he slipped and twisted his ankle perhaps? But why the yell then?
Amber was relieved when he got up again – and was smacked right into her stomach with a snowball for not keeping attention on the field, on the person in front of her: Caine.
She finally turned back to him and grinned. He demanded her main focus, apparently…
She shooed the remaining students around her away as it was fairer to Caine to fight him without backup, but most of them had already joined the unfolded mess of a snowball fight. It had turned into a free-for-all after all.
Freed from her sudden obligations as a leader, Amber happily gave her best friend now all the attention he deserved – with a smirk and a fast snowball to dodge.
