Lindsey gave Sinead a wave as she arrived at Breakfast, but her focus returned to Reena for a moment before the sudden arrival of the owls arrived.
Shielding her face from a flurry of water droplets, Lindsey flinched as several managed to strike her in the eyes. That hadn't been pleasant, but the owl were in the worst of it.
Offering them some sausage and bacon, she took a copy of the daily prophet and began to read over it. So, quidditch was cancelled? She didn't make too much of a scene about it, she read over the rest, but was struck by the drowning child title. It was oddly worded and she turned to that page first before checking out the rest.
"Well, I am goin' on to class," she said as she out her mildly damp prophet away. "Do ye wish to join me, Reena?" Lindsey asked before she stood and waited long enough for an answer before she headed off.

Reena managed a smile at Kassia, glad that the fifth year’s mind had jumped straight to exams instead of questioning her. However, as Kassia left and instead sat down at the Gryffindor table with Amelia Twiggs, Reena couldn’t help but stare at the pair in disbelief.
She had figured that Kassia and Amara weren’t exactly friends, but what were the odds Kassia decided to spend the day with the red head today of all days?
She almost missed Lindsey’s question over her own racing thoughts, as the owls swooped in and a Daily Prophet was dropped in front of her by a rather unhappy looking feather ball.
Before she could offer it anything it had already taken off again and she unfolded the paper and skimmed it, heart dropping at the headline about the father who died saving his child. That child will have a whole life of guilt and regret ahead of them. And no dad to guide them through.
“Yeah, I‘ll be right there,“ this time she registered Lindsey’s words and quickly folded the papers and put it into her bag. She doubted she’d partake in the contest, she felt like she had so much to do yet so little time to do it all, she did not need to waste her time on a fruitless chase for some credit on her application.

"Exactly. An attack before the match could only mean they intended to cancel yesterday's match. But I hope the pitch will get repaired soon to resume Quidditch. " Alice said, agreeing with Xavier.
For a moment, Alice got confused about how Rugby came in between this conversation. Then she understood she was talking about sports in general. But today's conversation was on Quidditch because someone targeted it.
To reply to Saorise, Alice again decreased her voice for them to listen. "Nobody from outside could be this informed. That's why I think, " She looked around a bit to confirm nobody was listening before she finished. "It was someone from inside."
Alice theorized that the message was regarding Quidditch, but she didn't want to know what would happen if we didn't answer it. She didn't even know what would be the answer.
Alice didn't notice Toby joining them, but his comment clearly showed his anger, probably because of Quidditch cancelation, but she knew this wouldn't be long term. Quidditch would resume again after renovations.
Soon, the daily prophet arrived, and the news on the front page broke her heart. It stated clearly that this year's Quidditch got canceled. There was no mention of any Renovation or anything, just cancelation.
She couldn't eat or talk after that. Alice picked up her stuff and daily prophet. "Will see you in the flying lesson." She said to all three of them and left.
William was too busy with his breakfast to take care of chatting nearby. And he had chosen such a corner to sit where nobody would disturb him.
The owls were the first ones to catch his attention. They were soaking in water, but some of them actually sent the water droplet flying around. Some of them also bite the students. What made their behavior so bad? Obviously, it wouldn't be the first time they had seen rain.
William passed a piece of bacon to the owl, who dropped his copy of the daily prophet. After wiping his hands with tissue paper, When William opened it, something fell out of it.
Youth reporter contest. He didn't believe it was something important, but there was no harm in voting for his favorite.
The front page of the daily prophet was filled with explosion news only. William read all the details carefully of it. Nothing else seems to catch his interest except the sighting of Dumbledore in London. After finishing reading, he folded the paper properly, put it in a bag, and walked out of the hall.
