As lunch began, Hufflepuffs were effortlessly the noisiest house - more than usual, as they eagerly discussed their upcoming Quidditch practice. Others were also looking forward to a mostly free afternoon, as only 3rd and 5th years had classes - which were the final classes before the upcoming holidays; classes won't resume until January.
Schedule Reminder(afternoon) 5th years - Transfiguration
Hufflepuff - Quidditch Practice - Luckett Langford will make the thread when ready, once lunch has ended.
It was lunchtime which of course Trix looked forward to. As she always enjoyed what the house-elf made for them. When she got there it was pretty empty. Not that she minds at all. She made her way to the Hufflepuff table and had a look at what was on the table to see what she would fancy eating.
After a couple of minutes, she chose to go for an Omelet and some salad. She chose that as it will fill her up enough for dinner and she loves omelet. It had Ham and cheese. With the salad, it was just basic lettuce, sweetcorn, tomatoes, and cucumber. Trix didn't bother with salt and pepper as she thought that it doesn't need seasoning.
Kevin panted lightly when he arrived at the Great Hall, running all the way from the grounds. He left the pot somewhere safe, so he decided to get a quick bite to eat before bothering Professor Sprout.
He moved to the Slytherin table, seeing no one seated at the Slytherin table that he knew. Shrugging, Kevin took a seat around the middle of the table with his back towards the rest of the houses to minimize the sensory overload he usually got from crowded places.
Kevin wasn't feeling like eating any meat for lunch, what with all the running around he had to do, so he piled a lot of roasted vegetables and some salad on his plate and started eating. He knew that he had Transfiguration later, but that was his last class until the holidays.
Holidays brought forward the thoughts about the Ball. He had appropriate attire, courtesy of his parents, but not a date or anything else, really. Kevin figured that Lucas was right and he had to hurry with securing someone sooner rather than later.

After finishing at the student green house Reena had arrived early at lunch. Since she saw neither Jax nor her friends she opted to sit at the end of the Slytherin table that was closest to the door and with her back to the wall. That way she had a good overview of the Great Hall and would see Jax arrive.
The table was still relatively empty, still she nodded her head in greeting at the fee Slytherins there. She filled up her plate with a vegetable wrap and reached for some sauce to spice it up with.
Nibbling on her wrap she felt as though as though she was waiting on something to happen thus rummaged through her pockets and counted the ingredients she had. She quickly grabbed an apple and some nuts just in case she needed to stock up on them.

Lindsey had rushed in after finishing in the Spiral Staircase and found a place to sit down at the table. She looked up long enough to see if Tom was already in the great hall and grabbed a few things for lunch. Lindsey was famished, even though she had had a great breakfast, the day had been busy for her it seemed. But that afternoon gave for excitement, as she knew she was going to Saint Mungo or she hoped.
She still had to go and talk to the professors, but she didn't think that would be too difficult. She knew she could go to the staff room and request that with them. As she ate some fruit, she grabbed an apple and some nuts so that she could use them for later.

Amelia came in after exploring the forest path and was still a bit concerned about the marks on the trees, but she also knew it was too dangerous to follow after something unknown. No, she would wait until she had a chance to figure out the possible things it could be. She did have a free afternoon, so it would be wise to find something to do that was worth it.
She had heard about working at the Three Broomsticks for a afternoon. Why not? It would give her some extra Galleons and she didn't think her parents would mind. So, she would go and talk to the professors. While filling her plate, she grabbed a few nuts and an apple to put away.
Jamie walked into Lunch slowly, his feet a little chilly from washing them off, but he had his shoes back on and his socks. He was sitting down at the end of the table and grabbing his plate with some warm items. He didn't waste time and had cleared his plate before grabbing some more. It was delicious and it warmed him a bit.
After filling his plate again, he grabbed a handful of nuts and put them away in his bag.
After the mess that had been Transfiguration class, followed by dicing with death in a cursed room, Rylan rushed to lunch with the hope that the rest of the day would run smoothly. He felt a little bad fro what had happened with Lindsey and Tom, in fact he had no doubt the latter would want to make something of it.
Of course, he had no interest in picking fights with anyone, but maybe next time he should pay attention to where he was sitting. Maybe not sit next to someones girlfriend/crush next time. Still, if trouble came looking for him, then he would just have to deal with things as best he could.
For now, he stowed and apple for later, before helping himself to some tuna and pasta. He had no real plans for this afternoon, except to maybe get some homework done. That of course wouldn't take all afternoon, so he would need to get a little more creative.
Saoirse was in a bad mood all the way from the library to the Great Hall. Other students unconsciously made room around her as she walked, like there was an invisible storm cloud hanging around her. All she could think about was how much she hated wizarding adults and how she actively planned on living again in the Muggle world as soon as she got out of this absolute dump of a castle.
It wasn't until she sat herself down at the Gryffindor table, shoes screeching on the floor, that she realized she had just stormed out on Grace. Saoirse winced inwardly, and hoped she would understand and catch up soon. Saoirse was certain her bad mood was partially due to hunger and her lack of exercise today. She picked up a chicken drumstick and started devouring it, hoping to eat some of the anger and hurt away.

With Transfiguration in the future, Elizabeth didn't think anything could go wrong. She adored the class almost as much as she liked Charms, and she was quite fond of Charms. She took a seat at the lunch table and took some caution when deciding what she would eat. She didn't want to be too slow when it came to eating. Coming late to class was a bad look, especially for a prefect.
She decided on a sandwich along with some vegetables. Elizabeth wasn't the most used to sandwiches, but since she had been at Hogwarts she was learning that they were enjoyable and made for a filling lunch. She considered reading her Transfiguration book while she ate, but didn't want to get it dirty.

Hanging out with Autumn had been a good way to spend the time between the end of Transfiguration and the beginning of lunch. He happily sat down at the Hufflepuff table, grabbing a glass of juice. Pumpkin juice wasn't his favourite, so he checked to make sure it was orange juice by giving it a sniff before he drank some of it.
He was considering asking if he could watch the Hufflepuff team practice, but he didn't see Lucky around anywhere and didn't want to step on any toes by just showing up. He drank some more orange juice and placed a few carrots on his plate, though he wasn't really thinking about eating them and just put them on his plate as a healthy habit. He took a bowl of soup instead.
Trix noticed as she ate her food people filled up the great hall. She was hoping to see Luckett as she wanted to wish him good luck at the practice today not that he needed it. However, Trix still wanted to wish it upon him out of the kindness of her heart. Trix Guessed that she will she have to wait or see him later.
As she ate her food she knocked back the food with a glass of orange juice and she really enjoyed the flavour that was in front of her. Well she just loved the food in front of her and she thought that the house-elves always did a fabulous job of the food for the students
Food disappeared from tables. Staff and students began to leave the hall, with Hufflepuffs being the most eager. For most students, their classes were finished until after the upcoming Christmas holidays. 3rd and 5th years, unfortunately, still had one more class to attend this afternoon.
~ Lunch Ended ~
Class threads are now available. Hufflepuff Quidditch Practice begins when Luckett Langford makes the thread at the pitch. Any players with classes need to post attendance there first. Then Practice will likely occupy most, if not all, of their afternoon free time.

Lindsey finished her meal and smiled when the food vanished, grabbing her things before she could even swallow the last bite, she rushed between tables and out the door into the Entrance hall.
Trix finished up her lunch and drink and stood up. She smiled as she sorted herself out and headed out. She doesn't know what she is planning to do but she is looked forward to it. She has a few idea of what she could do.
