As the clearing came into view, she smiled and looked around for a moment before she came back to her task and searched for the tracks. But, they were gone and she turned around in confusion to try and find them. After a moment, she looked up a tree enough to see more claws on the tree and began to follow the trail again.

As she did, she realized how close she was to the Forbidden Forest and she looked into the darkness from where she stood. Amelia understood the dangers of that place and even if she wanted to figure out what made those marks... It was not the best of ideas.

And, the girl had gone to find Hagrid, right? She had no doubt the man would come searching for this creature. Number one, it was a magical creature and second, it was on school grounds and leaving claw marks. To be honest, she wasn't sure what she wanted to do and stood there quietly for a bit.
