Alora Sagemore's Sorting Ceremony

Alora was brimming with excitement. Today was the day she could finally follow her sister to Hogwarts! Her Mama and Kamari had both told her so much about it and all the adventures there, she couldn’t wait to embark on her own journey! And hopefully, she would make a few friends along the way.

In her mind she had already pictured the boat ride beforehand, but the view of the lake with the illuminated castle in the background was even more stunning than she had imagined.

Finally, she arrived in the Great Hall along with the other first years. Alora glanced around the room in awe, absorbing everything around her. She noticed the house tables and cast a hopeful glance towards the Gryffindor table, searching for her sister, but to no avail.

Standing among her future classmates, she maintained her usual upright usual posture and waited for her name to be called. While waiting, she tried to calm herself down, as she knew otherwise the possibility was high she would trip again. But her mind started to wander shortly after, focusing on the Sorting Hat, wondering if it worked with transformation magic like toys.

“Sagemore, Alora!” her name was called out, and whispers began to spread. Lost in her thoughts, Alora startled for a moment at the call and proceeded ahead, accidentally stepping on the fringe of her robe, which brought the risk of tumbling.

Before her gaze even met the ground, she used the momentum to execute a small yet impressive pirouette. Transitioning seamlessly, she gracefully seated herself onto the stool, her posture straight, hands folded neatly in her lap, looking straightforward with a smile.

Nothing had happened, right?

She could neither think any longer about it or the rising whispers as the hat was placed on top of her.
