Amber is an open-minded girl who loves animals of all kinds and has a knack for them. Instinctively, animals seem to trust her for which reason people also deem her as likable.
She can be a reliable friend as long as the mutual trust is not broken and no animal is harmed. Should that happen, fear her anger...
Amber is very curious and can't hold herself back if she sees a riddle or secret, which needs to be solved. That is also why she really likes to play board games in her free time, especially ones which require to sort out strategies.

Backstory
Ambers mother Catherine is a witch whose family practices a small, magical farm called "Whitewater Ranch" for generations.
Her mother met her father Angus, a muggle, purely by accident. He was a shepherd in the middle of leading his sheep flock when one of the magical creatures escaped from the ranch and ran in the flock of sheep. However, Angus was very calm and managed not to only keep his sheep flock together but also to gently lure the magical creature, despite not knowing what it was.
Catherine was so charmed by his action that she immediately fell in love with Angus. Since then, they managed both the ranch and the sheep flock together.
While Amber's older brother Finn likes to help more with the administration of everything, Amber herself loves the gentle way her parents take care of all the animals. Since she was little, she helped in the barn and has learned a lot about animals and magical creatures. Whenever she is home, she can't help it but spend time with them.
With her father, she also took a lot of tours to the nearby muggle town where he was originally from. There she also got to know her grandfather Micheal, from whom she learned to play diverse board games, especially chess. As she was still young, he also told her a lot of stories about detectives and such -- it inspired Amber to wander around town to try and solve some mysteries that were around.
Despite taking good care of the ranch, when Amber was 10 years old, a fire broke out (source still unknown). At this time, Amber was in the middle of some enclosures in the side barn, sleeping near some fluffy animals, when she noticed the smoke. Panicked animals started to run around, and little Amber didn't really know what to do -- other then trying to evade the animals, and to open the doors to free them. But it was already too late; fire engulfed the big barn door, with no way out.
Hearing all the animals scream, some taking by the fire, she wanted to try everything she could to help but she couldn't manifest any magic. She just tried to calm some animals, while watching the fire come nearer. She was lucky to soon be rescued by her family. The rest of the animals were rescued too, and some needed help to heal their wounds.
Since then, Amber has a fear of big fires near her. Every time she lights a candle, she's very thorough to blow it out after use.
