More students out of bed than usual? What were they, stupid? Must be, if Filch noticed. Still, she appreciated Elizabeth sharing some information and it was certainly useful to know. Of course, the idiots raising attention made it harder for those who had to sneak around for important reasons, like getting ingredients, so Amara was annoyed in that regard and made mental note to be especially careful if she had to stock up.
With dinner and dessert concluded, Amara had no other reason to linger. No way was she going anywhere near the ballroom tonight, as last year's Frivolity was suffering enough. It wasn't as if she needed it, anyway.
'I'm going to settle for a quieter night tonight,' Amara said, mostly focused on Elizabeth as she stood. 'If you'd prefer that too, I'll be in our dormitory if you want to talk or just hang out.' She shrugged, hoping "hang out" was the right phrase that people used.
It also wasn't often anyone got such an invite from Amara Seabrook, so she hoped Elizabeth at least appreciated the privilege. Not that Amara really had much say about it, as it was Elizabeth's dormitory too and they had a civil agreement in place since 1st year, but it was the principal of the matter to be invited.
Bored of the Great Hall, Amara adjusted her collar and headed towards the dungeons.

Elizabeth was glad when dinner was over. It meant that the chatter would die down or at least that it wouldn't be so odd that she was leaving. She was never one to leave dinner before it was over, mostly because her manners were so firm. If it was an important dinner, there was no way to leave, so there was no way to leave any other dinner.
She glanced at Amara as the other girl spoke, a bit surprised by the invite. Though they had shared a dorm all the way from the beginning, obviously, they hadn't been actually speaking or 'hanging out.' Elizabeth was familiar with the term, even if she didn't use it.
Elizabeth just nodded. Not wanting to seem like an over-eager puppy trailing after Amara, she waited at the table a little bit, pondering over her list and if it was even worth sending to her parents. Maybe she could get Amara to advise her on some of the better boys when they did 'hang out.'
After enough time had passed that Elizabeth felt she was in no danger of seeming like a lapdog, Elizabeth stood up, gathered her thoughts and things, and headed down to the dorms.
Dinner passed faster than normal, much like the whole day had. At some point the girls got up to go get ready for the Founders Frivolity and Tom felt a familiar ball of nerves beginning to form in his stomach. It wasn't a dissimilar feeling to the one that had plagued him before Quidditch practice started.
Tom liked Lindsey, and he figured Lindsey liked him, but he wasn't sure what to do about it. Whatever this event was, Tom felt that he would be put on the spot in some way with Lindsey and he wasn't sure how he would respond or react. He hoped he didn't make a fool of himself. As the desserts began to clear from the table, he realized he'd soon figure out just what was in store.

As dinner, then dessert disappeared, Grace found herself growing tired. She had done quite a lot of work during Quidditch practice, and she was nervous for the upcoming match. Not to mention that she really wanted to know what the Founders Frivol-whatever was. She considered pestering one of the older students for information but doubted that they would tell her.
Either way, dinner was over and she headed up to the Gryffindor tower. Maybe she could talk some more with Toby. Since they were both first years about to play their first game of Quidditch against the Slytherin team, maybe he would be feeling as nervous as she was.
