'It kind of has a Gryffindor look to it, doesn't it?' Jade examined the Ashstorn. 'Right. Decision's made.' She retrieved the catalog in case Amy tried to change her mind. She'd have to owl order it as soon as possible, so it should be there soon, but Amy was still talking to her so she lingered to finish that conversation first.
'Maybe they changed the maps for this year?' Jade shrugged. 'It does seem weird. Or maybe Hogwarts hid it? I don't bloody know. But I doubt we'll find it on any other map. I mean, have you ever seen maps in the library?' It was a stupid question because Jade wasn't exactly one who spent enough time in the library to even know what half the books were about.
'I thought it was the 3rd or 4th floor?' Jade frowned. She peered at the map again, now looking for the library. She groaned when being reminded of how big the library was. 'Ames, I really don't want to spend my free time locked in a stuffy old library. Don't you have a better plan? Maybe we could do some dares instead, and save the bori--I mean, other stuff for later?'
Checking the time, Jade stood from her seat and glanced around the emptying Great Hall. She was intrigued though. It might almost be worth researching. 'Look, I've got to go order your broom - so I'm headed to the Owlery. Where do you want to meet up?' she asked, as if there was another option than getting stuck in books on a day when they should be doing something fun or being outside.
With that choice finished, Amelia nodded and they went on talking about their little search for the corridor. It was true that the school had it's own enchantments and it felt like it was live. But why would the castle hid something like that? It seemed like it wanted to cause a mystery to take place and Amelia was determined to find this place now. As she groaned about having a better plan, Amelia looked at her and thought about it.
"Other than just randomly searching the castle, not really..." She said, defeated a little. Amelia enjoyed a good sneaking about, but to do a good one, you also needed to have an idea a place and research was important. Whether it was a little research or a lot of research, it was still important.
Jade mentioned doing some other stuff and she nodded. Maybe doing some other stuff would be good for them and it might let them explore the castle a little more. "Yeah, that sounds fine... We can keep an eye out for anything we think might involve that part of the castle." She said as she sat up and then stood around the time Jade did.
"Hmm... Let's met up in the entrance hall, I need to go and see Snape to start working to get my potion's kit..." She said, remembering how her father had been proud about her getting the herbology kit, so she figured he would be just as proud with the potion's kit too.
