The Twiggs family are purebloods who live in the countryside with very limited exposure to the Muggle world. They're loving and carefree, yet poor. The children rarely get new belongings unless absolutely necessary, though are thankful for everything they receive -- new or otherwise. They're creative and resourceful in their means to save money, and are able to make the most of things without riches or high social status. They have zero prejudice against blood status or Hogwarts house. The children are all close, often spending their summers playing backyard Quidditch or coming up with fun challenges.
Alan and Molly Twiggs married soon after graduation, though it was many years before they had children. Each pregnancy was planned, though it wasn't an easy start to parenthood -- having two sets of twins only a year apart of each other. Though Alan is part of the Ministry's Accidental Magic Reversal Squad, money remains tight.
During their time at Hogwarts, Alan played Quidditch for Ravenclaw. Molly was later a Gryffindor prefect. Their relationship was always supportive and loving, which then set a good example for their children. They maintain a balance of fun and stability; the children are free to be themselves, yet know not to take house rules lightly. An annoyed Mrs Twiggs is something they all have a healthy fear of.
The Twiggs children are close, yet none moreso than the only two daughters. They all have strong personalities and interests, which often lead to a lot of competition or sibling squabbles. The pranks or teasing get a bit out of hand sometimes, but everything is resolved eventually. Their upbringing is very magical and united, but not without its challenges -- including any embarrassment or stress caused by having such little money, or being labelled "blood traitors" (by purists) for their lack of prejudice towards Muggles.
Family time is important and cherished. Twiggs children must be home every summer, but are encouraged to invite their best friend (or two) to stay over. The younger the Hogwarts-age child, the higher their chances of being allowed to stay at school during the Christmas holidays. Once graduated, they're expected to at least make an appearance during Christmas.
The twin girls share a bedroom, but everyone else has their own room. Pets are allowed within reason and if the request is convincing enough. Trips to Hogsmeade (3rd years and above) must be requested. If approved or not will be reflective of past behaviour both at home and at school. It may be revoked at any time as punishment, though likely only for something serious. Requests that require money (broomsticks, dress robes, etc) may be difficult or subpar to fulfill but the parents do their best.
They live beside a river-sized creek, and surrounded by grassy fields. With multiple siblings running around, it's reasonable to assume each child has (willingly or otherwise) learned to swim. They have a vegetable garden, a small barn used as a toolshed, and raise several chickens. They grew up carefree in the countryside, and live on hearty home-cooked meals.
By default, the Twiggs family attend each Quidditch World Cup final. It's nothing fancy in terms of spending money or having good seats, but they make the most of it as their favourite family outing. Mr Twiggs also sometimes brings one or two kids along to his work for the day.
Each child must have a generic and simple first name. This family is heavily inspired by the Weasleys; though you can't use canon names (Fred, Ron, Charlie etc), keep them in mind as an example of the sort of name a Twiggs child might have. None of the twins can have rhyming / matching names. Every child's first name must start with a different letter than the others.
