An active, character-driven Hogwarts experience set in the early 2000s. Unique items, plots, and features. Non-canon; this isn't Harry Potter's story, it's ours.
There are a few roles for Hogwarts students that add responsibility and commitment, but set them apart in a distinguished way. They're only granted to active members, as it involves both in and out of character duties.
These positions also look great on their career file, earning towards impressive job interviews or scholarships.
Head Hogs
Though "Head Hog" is the official position of what was formally known as Head Boy / Girl -- many students over the years have come to refer to them as Hedgehogs. Those with this position oversee Prefects or assign them duties, manage students as a whole, and are in charge when Hogwarts staff aren't available. This position may reward bonus exp to Advanced Skills.
Responsibilities -- manage prefects and assign duties, arrange student meetings, assign minor punishments, and oversee various events.
Requirements -- must be a 7th year. Gender is irrelevant. Ideally, was a Prefect in the past but isn't mandatory. This role is assigned, not requested.
Notes -- There aren't any 7th years until our current 5th years progress that far; this position is currently unobtainable. These roles are filled by NPCs, if needed.
Prefects
Students given extra responsibilities and authority by their Head of House and the current Headmaster. They supervise students and activities in their house, and help the Head Hogs.
Character Responsibilities -- patrol duties, show first years to their dorms, oversee various extra-curricular activities, and report any wrong-doing. May be called upon to assist in events or otherwise.
Member Responsibilities -- activeness is very important. Welcome new members and be overall helpful when possible. Must consistently follow site rules, and understand how HAU works.
Requirements -- 5th, 6th, and 7th years. Two are chosen from each mentioned year, per house. Gender is irrelevant. Often, those with this position retain it until graduation unless made a Head Hog. Expression of interest is important, but this position is assigned not requested; qualifier list is determined by staff, though doing the "Prefect Trainee" AQ (4th years only) manually gets you on the list.
Regardless, all must pass the "Prefects Exam" to be approved.
Quidditch Captains
In charge of their respective house's Quidditch team. They arrange practices and prepare / train their team for every match. Has the final say over who joins their team, and may also remove players or change positions if necessary.
Responsibilities -- book tryouts and practices as needed, develop a team strategy, determine position assignments, and make sure everyone on the team is ready / understands the gameplay.
Requirements -- 5th, 6th, or 7th year Quidditch player. Typically retained until either graduation or resignation. One per house. Must remain active or risk losing their position. Expression of interest and a character's passion for the sport are important, though this position is typically assigned not requested.
Quidditch Players
Self-explanatory; they play in Quidditch matches, as part of their house team.
Responsibilities -- attend practices and matches. Learn the gameplay rules and play their position to the best of their ability.
Requirements -- Usually chosen as needed, during tryouts or via the Discord Quidditch channel. First years are permitted though Captains may be reluctant due to size or inexperience. Must remain active or risk removal from the team.
Club Leaders
Students who run their own club or spcialised group. Are usually also the club's creator / leader, though may choose a secondary leader or vice leader. This feature is currently unavailable.
Responsibilities -- maintain the club, recruit members, and organize events.
Requirements -- create a club or be chosen by a club creator to help run it.
